I just got a cal from this number, the lady said her name was Lucy Vega, offer for 250$ gas , 100$ retail, 1000$ lowes and home depot , and trip for two cruise, all for answering a few questions! They claimed to be doing an education and economic survey. With credit charge of 3.95 per voucher packet. From "Curtesy Awards".

Got one today for this number, connection was back could not make out what they were saying. They did not call back.

Rec'd a call from 855-249-3979; caller ID'd as Monica Cruz. Promoting a $250 gas card; usable at Natl gas retailers and Wal Mart, etc. Requested S&H chg of $2.95, payable by debit or credit card only. This was for answering 5 questions relating to an Educational Survey. Advised I did not have either card; Monica said "OK, if ever you have one, you have my name & number; give us a call".

Did any of you to a message with a star next to it It some to do education. I did.

This number called me and asked me some questions and said they would give me a $200 gas card and a $100 retail card. They wanted my name phone# address And wanted me to give them my credit card info. Does anyone know it this is a scam.

Just received a call from this number today.... ignored the call because I dont know the number & they didnt leave a message.

Received a call from 855-249-3979; caller ID'd as Monica Cruz. She stated I had won a $250 gas card; usable at National gas retailers and Wal Mart along with other large retail stores for doing a survery. I asked what company she was representing, she responded with Coutesy Rewards. Said no puchase was necessary that I had already won. after being transferred 3 times with one being a recording of what sounded like an England accent and the last lady sounded Latino. She again stated that I had won BUT Requested my credit or debit card to pay for S&H chg of $2.95, The questions that were asked of me had to do with my internet and shopping habits. I was asked if I preferred shopping or cars, If I did online shopping and asked an estimate of my online shopping. Did I spend $20 or more a on a weekly or monthly basis. Asked how much I use the internet. After askign for a debit or credit card, I replied, "No purchase neccesary. If I win something then win mean it is FREE. They tried to tell me my numbers would be encrypted and I explain I dont give that info to anyone. My ONLY regret is that I gave them my name and address BEFORE being told about the $2.95 S&H charge. In the Morning I will be going to our Local FBI Office, Calling the local News Channel, The BBB, Visiting the Police station and making sure my alerts are still on record with the 3 credit agencies. PLEASE Make sure you take advantage of the free alerts for all 3 credit reporting agencies. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

Received two call attempts.  The caller ID shows it as TOLL FREE call.

It's a scam. Don't trust them. Information stillers

Received this call last night. Same MO as the others are reporting. When I questioned who the company was she said I had already won and not to worry about it. I hung up before I gave any more information.

Rec'd call 10/20 1553 did not answer, no message - multiple attempts made by them.

this number 855-249-3979 has been calling me all day today.  thanks for the information.  i figure if its important they'll leave a message but no message yet.  then right after they call, someone tries to call with unknown number.  i wonder if its the same caller just trying to get me to answer.  sorry but im not answering.

I started receiving calls from this number yesterday afternoon. I hadn't even had this number for a whole 24 hours at the time. Something to do with a survey about online shopping. When I heard the computer voice repeating the phone number, I hung up. Received a call again today same thing again. When they paused for a response from me to confirm the number is correct, I told them to stop calling me and hung up again. They are randomly calling numbers. Not even all of my family has this number yet.

Missed this call.  Glad I did.

Didn't answer...sounds like a scam.  I'm going to mess with them if they call back ;o)

Just got a call from this number at 5:55pm EST yesterday 11/08/2011 and it was someone saying that if I bought a new cell phone for $300.00 I would get a rebate card for gasoline for up to $200.00   They demanded I give them my credit card information.  TOTAL scam!!!

Got the call.  It is totally a computer calling which makes it easy for them to call a lot of people.  I'm sure they will find some suckers.  How can we fight them?  If it was a person on the line, I could mess with them, but just a computer, takes all the fun out of it.

I just got a call from this number 855-249-3979 talked to "supervisor"Amy, said company name is Sample Awards and they send out products for me to sample and included as my "reward" would be gist vouchers for Walmart, Target, Best Buy, earch worth $100.00, $50.00 each also gas vouchers for $100.00 to Exxon, Shell, etc. All I had to do was pay a one time processing fee of $3.95 on my credit card and record my name and address.

This number has called me 6 times begonning on January the 24th. I never answer a number I am not familiar with and if they don't leave a message, I know it wasn't important and google it. All I have seen related to this number is a scam!
