Got a voicemail at work from this number saying that it was re: potential fraudulent charges on my visa card.
I am going to call the customer service number listed on the back of my card to verify.

Called BOA customer service.  The number was legit.  Someone hacked my visa card and tried to make 25 transactions in an hour.  Had to shut down my card.

I called Bank of America to check on the number and after "arguing" about giving out my credit card info I finally had to tell them everything about my account and they wanted more info until I finally blew my cool (this took over a minute)and told her, "All I wanted to know was the number and that this is ridiculous and stated the number to her 855-255-0613 and she finally said it is their number. Now isn't this frustrating to us!?!
Told her they need to have a better system for such instances of people trying to find out if it's their number. Also, that we may be checking on another credit card system.

Legitimate number from BoA fraud alert. I still called through the customer service number on the back of my card just to be sure. Apparently my Microsoft software purchase was suspicious. Do not ignore.

BOA was trying to notify me of fraudulent charges to my credit card.   I did not pick up in time   they also sent to me an email alert... the 800 number in the email wanted to know specific sensitive info.. so I hung up and called the fraud alert # listed on the back of my card..   both were legit.   I had to shut down my card.  Don't ignore calls from this number!

This number appears to be legit. I attempted to purchase something online and the card failed. I got a call from this number from someone claiming to be B of A asking me about the exact transaction that failed. I told her that I did indeed wish to purchase from Groupon (odd transaction to flag). She said "Thank you. I have reactivated your account. If you have any concerns please call us back at the number on your caller id"

I have no intention of calling that number back, I will stick with the number on the card, but since she didn't ask any personal information other than my name, and she knew I attempted to purchase something from a well-known site that fail, I will assume this is legit.

    ALH is lying
DO NOT give anyone at that number ANY information whatsoever. ALH is most likely associated with them and is completely lying.

They are IN NO WAY associated with Bank of America and I reported the number to them.

When I called the number back after the voicemail they left, they didn't even say the company name, department or anything when they greeted me and that is when I knew they were a [***] phishing group.

Again UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES call them back, let alone give them any information, they are 100% BOGUS.

This number IS a valid number for fraud on a BOA card.  This number called my cell, then called my wife's cell (which both numbers are listed in our BOA profile) and left her a message.  We called the number on the back of the BOA card and asked them to check for possible fraud on our credit card and they saw the fradulant charge attempt that was declined immediately at the POS.  Somebody had tried to use our card's number.  After verifying we didn't make that charge, they deactivated our current card and sent a replacement card delivered to our doorstep two days later.  My advice is not to answer this call, but to call the BOA number on the back of your card ASAP because there was a possible fraudulent charge attempt on your card.  If you don't call they will probably shut off your card.

    This is a phishing scam.

They get a hold of your credit card number and start using it until the automated system flags it as compromised.  Once they get declined, they call you up and give you your credit card number as proof they are legitimate.  They then ask you to verify your personal information to see what you would be willing to divulge.

Legit call from BofA Card Services Protection. They left me a voicemail since I did not pick up. I did not call the 855-255-0613 number back, but called the 800# on the back on my card. BofA verified that their fraud department did call me.

    Annoyed with Bank of America
Bank of America has several different numbers they use to call you about possible fraudulent charges, but since they don't show up on caller ID, I recommend you use the 800 number on your card to be sure you get through to them.

I am sick of BoA deactivating my card when I try to make purchases. They are apparently hyper-sensitive to fraud. They've deactivated my cards 3 times in the last 2 months when I tried to make purchases- once when RENEWING a once a year $30 photo host charge. Every year I pay this, and every year I have to call BoA and verify it's me, and PLEASE can you put a note that this renewal once a year is expected.

I go to the grocery (same store I've been going to for years) once a month by taxi, and for the last 2 months Visa deactivated my card each time. Last time I was on the phone talking to them for 20 minutes before they'd reactivate it. This time I was on the phone for an HOUR, and had to talk to three different people (the first one hung up on me after 20 minutes of me answering security question after security question). I had to call back and go through the whole thing again (and used the taxi driver's phone because I thought maybe my phone was bad, but no, I got hung up on his phone by BoA's automated stuff and had to dial again) and after giving a bunch of security question answers for another 20 minutes I got transferred to another person who asked even MORE security questions, and finally activated the cards (I tried BOTH my Visa cards, and they were both declined). I BEGGED the BoA person to PLEASE at least put a note in my file that I shop at this grocery once a month and the bills will be around XX $ and that is expected, DO NOT deactivate my card. I asked them to do that last time, but obviously it didn't work.

I think I will just have to get a different credit card. The taxi driver told me he has a Bank of America Visa *debit* card, with plenty of his own money on it, but when he was on vacation they declined it two days ago and he couldn't even fix it over the phone, but had to come home and go to the bank in person! And yes, he got the useless fraud report phone call.

After I got home finally, THEN BoA called me from the suspected fraud number. The SECOND one. I saved the first one to my phone and labeled it, because they come in 'Unknown'. I have no idea how many phone numbers they use, but it's ridiculous that they don't identify themselves.

This is a legitimate phone number, but it is a ROTTEN system.

It was from BofA credit card, I just went to my account online and clicked that I recognized the charges. My card was reactivated, much better than talking to them on the phone which can be super annoying!

This is a FRAUDULANT number trying to verify some credit card purchases. I called the Bank of America number on the  back of the card. They are not affiliated with this phone number.
