- joe jGot several calls from this number.
- annasomeone is calling from this # stating they are collecting a debt unknown to us.I checked bank & court summons there is nothing pending. This is a scam they are trying to get people to send $$$ via deposit to Chase account or credit card info DONT DO IT.
- Erzsebet| 1 replyI got a call from this number and since I don't ever answer any numbers unknown to me, I let it got to voice mail... I retrieved a message later in which the caller started off with a File #, no mention of her name or company, asked for my former name that I haven't used (since my divorce) in years, then stated that it's regarding a complaint that has been forwarded to their office. She then went on to say that I had two (2) hours to call them back at this number or they will be forced to make a decision without my consent... Out of curiosity, I called the number back a few hours later and it rang for a while then voice mail picked up "Anthony.... (can't make out the last name) is not available.... (blah blah blah)" .....

- SandyThey called my sister's room mate and the room mates motehr (who lives several counties away) stating they were trying to reach my sister to serve her a summons regardling a lawsuit against my son. My sister has only been living at that address for less than one month, and they called the room mates Cell phone, not the house phone. They specifically asked for my sister by name- but she never uses her legal name for anything- so that was the first tip off. Let left a "summons number" for her to call regarding. Think this is a colelction company? I am pretty sure.
- Ned Flanders replies to ErzsebetI let it go to message. Here is what they left 2x this morning: They first stated the file number and that if I did not respond to their call within 2 hours that action would be taken against me without my consent. They called themselves the "Performance Agency." Seemed really scammy. My credit history is rock solid, at least it was. I'd better go double check to see if my ID has been compromised. I called them back. It rang and rang, then finally went to message.
- DEEthey are scamming me too. After reading the posts I will not even call them back. Same thing an hour to call back and a summons already was issued and court date already in place... according to this jerk

- cdThey called leaving a voicemail and referenced a complaint number (thats their internal records number not an actual lawsuit complaint number) claiming I needed to contact them back in 2 hours or they will file an action against me without my permission (they can do that now IF they had the proper information).
I called them back indicating I was an attorney (I am) and that the my name is not the name they were looking for (it isnt). The person talked over me and questioned if I was an actual attorney so I hung up.
I filed a BBB Complaint against them online.- Call type: Debt collector
- JFKThese guys are a scam. Chop shop, not even a good one. They claim they are going to file suit against you yet won't disclose the "client". They tell you the investors decided to file against you but won't tell you who they are. They are either a Debt Buyer or a 3rd party agency, but won't tell you which one. Their phone # doesn't even have a mailbox setup, it just rings and then tells you there is no mailbox. These guys can't collect stamps, all they take is credit cards. I've worked for plenty of chop shops and debt buyers as well as legit agencies. These guys are a joke. If they are really in California it's just another testament to how [***] people in Cali do things. I'd be surprised if they last another 6 months. These complaints started in July which leads me to believe someone decided to get into the business but didn't know what they were doing. Their dunn is horrible, they can't even keep one guy on a TO because he doesn't know what to say. Tell these chumps you'll pay them 50 a month because it's the best you can do. Get an address to send the check to, and since it's charged off credit card debt, they can't legally do anything to your credit. If by some extreme chance they actually try to file a judgement against you (which is highly unlikely) just deny any allegation that you ever had a credit card debt with whatever company or creditor they are calling about. The proof will be on them to supply the courts with documentation that you actually owe it, and since they probably got a pile of debt with nothing more than the date of last payment and charge off date, they can't actually do anything. This reminds me of Diversified Funding Associates and other garbage debt buyers like them. Don't give them any of your personal information, on anything that you own, owe, or who you are even. S**t, just tell them it's a wrong number. But if you want to get dirty with them, you can tell them you want to resolve it, give them a bogus credit card number and then act shocked when it comes back declined. It costs them money to run cards, so if they run a bunch of cards that don't exist they end up losing money on it. If by some chance you did actually give them a legit card, contest the payment and say you were scammed. If they try to fight it by stating they have it on recording tell them to play it. Chances are they violated the FDCPA and will reverse the charge, plus you can attempt to sue them if you see fit.

- MJThey are very clever. I have the same name as my father, who's been dead for four years. They called and said they were taking my mother to court (she's 98) because of a debt my father had from 1999. I was given a hour to call back otherwise I would go to court ... or my mother. They're very scary. They called my mother, who was slightly confused because they wanted her to send money because of her dead husbandr's debt. Then they called my sister's cell phone. They not only called my cell phone, they called the place where I work.

- JamesI have recvd several calls from a blocked number over the past 2 days. They state I need to call back 855-255-6155 within 2 hours or they will be force to take action against a complaint that was filed against me. They leave no other info except a case number. Glad I looked this up online. I have no outstanding debt or legal action against me. I will ignor these calls and am looking into what else I need to do if they do not stop.

- DW 48| 2 repliesJust had same scam as above but was a call for my son, whom only calls me on my cell phone & since he just recently moved back to the area, I'm not certain he even knows my new home number. I believe the scammer is possibly just looking up the same last name of people in the area & calling them.
- Get Help!!! replies to DW 48| 1 replyI have been harassed constantly by. Performance Asset Recovery They call multiple times throughout the day. They have been harassing my family members, even my ex-husband for over 10 months and calling my work. This agency is ruthless in trying to collect on a payday loan that I defaulted on. Yes, I owe the money and want to pay it back but not like this. They have threatened me, with being served to go to court, threatened me with possible jail time, check fraud and wage garnishment….seriously!!!
After two weeks of this harassment from Performance Asset Recovery I finally got some help from a company called consumer credit helpers. They’re a not for profit organization and never asked me for a dime. CCH helped me file a complaint with the States Attorney General Office, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and finally the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
Next they put me in contact with an attorney, who feels we have a case against Performance Asset Recovery for several FDCPA violations. They were great to talk to, with wonderful advice and information. I recommend anybody getting harassed by Performance Asset Recovery should take my advice and stand up for your rights! Call CCH at 1.855.672.1988.

855-255-6155 - K Berga replies to Get Help!!!THANK YOU!!! I am most definitely going to do that!! These people are out of their minds. They had an address on me that was over 10 yrs old threatening to take my now husbands wages and garnish them!
- Alice SmithMy son received calls from this number looking for his uncle, stating they were looking for him and he had to return the call within 1 hour. I returned their phone call and the phone was answered "corporate offices". After explaining why I was calling, the call was transferred and answered "Legal Dept". On questioning, the man said he was from "PAR_performance asset recovery and it involved a civil manner". My brother has never lived at the address where my son lives, nor is in any way connected to my son's phone number. I think these people are scammers. I called my brother who googled the number and found lots of comments that they are running a scam.

- WithheldThis same company called my home number today threatening to take "me" to court if I didn't respond within 3 hours. However, the name of the person they said they wanted was my daughter's ex-sister-in-law (my daughter has been divorced almost 20 years). They even left a file number. Have no idea how they connected us. We've moved since my daughter's divorce. Her sister-in-law has never been in my new house, let alone live here.
