I just answered a call from this number and the guy said he was from Verizon's "Loyalty Department" and that my husband's phone line was eligible for an upgrade.  But then why wouldn't the number say it was coming from Verizon?

This number's called me twice in the last week and doesn't leave a message, which is suspicious for an "official Verizon" call.

This number calls my cell phone every day.  I never answer, and whoever is calling never leaves a message.

This numbers calls me daily, never leaving a message.

This # has been calling me regularly for the past few weeks. Today my husband got a call from a different 855 #... I called the 855-261-2339 # & it said "thank you for your interest in Verizon wireless. All of our representives are assisting other callers, please wait on the line and your call will be answered in the order it was received." it seems really suspicious because we're with Verizon Wireless and you would think if they had some type of information to give us they would leave a message. (Not to mention, I don't think that Verizon would be making continual calls over and over again without leaving a message.) I don't know I'd be leery of this one...

This is really Verizon Wireless.  I asked the rep to very nicely please take me off their call list when our lines are eligible for upgrades (we have 2 lines).  They offered me some free promotions (free texting - we have unlimited) and more free minutes (I don't need those).  But she did apologize and removed my home # from their call list - unfortunately it can take up to 30 days.  But since I am waiting for the iPhone5, this will save months of calls.

This is NOT Verizon Wireless.  At first, they CLAIM to be Verizon.  Then, when cornered, they change their story and CLAIM to be a company contracted by Verizon to make special offers to customers.  Beware.  And be wary.

Everyday I get a call from this number and I never answer hoping that they will leave a message. Never let any message so it is not important for me..

Now they claim to be "a contractor for PEPCO" that will "have a technician in your neighborhood tomorrow" and can perform "a service you have already paid for" if you are home.

I suppose the folks that tell the caller they won't be home will get burglarized. HANG UP ON THESE SCAMMERS.
