Got a text telling me to call 8552753063 for more information about the Front Desk Receptionist Position I applied for. First I tried to do a reverse phone number, no dice, then after searching I found it listed on a few sites as a scam. Lastly I called and just asked straight up where the job was. They told me it was within a 20 mile radius of the zipcode I'd searched with. I named a city, and still got that it was within 20 miles of the zipcode I'd searched with. Just wondering if this was actually a legit calling service for a company that I can contact directly about a job.

just got the text myself about an administrative assistant position I applied for. I called the number back just to see how they answered the phone to get an idea of who and what company this was since I had applied to quite a few. To my surprise they answered the phone with my name, but would not give me the name of the company, stating the company wished to remain confidential and that this was to pre varify me for the position. I should have hung up then but I let them keep talking for some stupid reason. Said I would get an email  with the rest of the application process etc. etc.
I won't be looking for one or definitely not filling one out. This really is something that seems very fishy to me. scares me a bit.
