call daily...good to know that being on the 'do not call' list is working!  Don't know who it is...if I don't recognize number on caller ID, I don't answer

Who is this that keeps calling and saying nothing?

It's the Leukimia Society solicitors.  Calls from all types of area codes, too.  I just called the number and got a recording and entered my phone # to be taken off their list.  We will see if that works.  Heck of it is, the Society does good work, but I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER AGAIN send a contribution or collect in my neighborhood for a cause based on a phone call solicitation.  They must give your name & number to all other solicitors.  Your phone rings several times a day with these critters trying to get you to give again.  Won't happen here.

Got a call from this number, no msg left.  did not recognize the number so we don't answer, they might as weill quit calling if no msg is left, we don't bother with such calls its a waste of time.

They are not necessarily "Non-Profit.'  Fund-Raisers can claim they are by "GIVING" only 5% to the Charity they represent.  I wish more people knew this.  "If" I answer a call from a charity, my standard answer is always, "I do not give out my credit/debit account # to ANYONE who calls ME."  I will only give to a charity directly.

I wish the government would raise the bar on these types of "fundraisers" and make them pay 80% to the charity.  Maybe then it would not be such a lucrative scam on the sympathetic public.

This every day event is wearing thin.

Answer and say you work at a funeral home desperately in need of more sales on coffins. They'll stop calling if they think you support anything that might be fatal. lol
