Some kind of robo-call.  I picked it up and said hello but no one came on the line for several seconds so I hung up.

Me too.  Picked it up and said hello and then several seconds later, telemarketer must have woken up and realized someone actually picked up the phone! I hung up and put number on blocked call list.

I would like all to know I received up to 12 calls a day before the government shut down. Then nothing. When government went back to work the calls started again. Hmmm

Call from control donation.

This number was coming in as Verizon, unavailable, etc.  There is a scam to get your number and hook up with another company (w/your number) if you have recently made any changes to any one of your phones.  Do not answer any calls not familiar.  They are coming in from private cell phones along with marketing calls around the same time of day within minutes.  I do believe they actual see what's being said and then change their tactics.

AMVETS............They left a message.

Caller is one of same number over several months with different approaches.  Now, claims to identify oneself for a return call.  Will be in neighborhood for donations of 1 or more bags of clothings.  Caller ID shows an "unavailable" number.  This number has been around for the past 4 months.  

This call is from the Multiple Sclorosis Fund.  They were calling to remind about being in the area to collect old or unwanted clothes.

I received a call from MS last night under this number. Leaving a the same message as Justus. I just received another one today which I answered... nobody there, Looks like a method of looking for answering machines/ VM for advertisement purposes ...not specific telemarketing which is a way to circumvent the law, Tricky buggers....

Be careful - DO NOT CALL BACK!!! If you do, they slam your number with usage charges.  They WANT you to call back to see who it is/what they want, then they put you on hold and charge you by the minute!  

Too many annoying calls from this number.  Latest was 9:00 at night which cuts into sleeping time.

This is a scam.  I got into a five minutes fight with some piece of [***] calling from this number.  NO CHARITY ORGANIZATION WOULD EVER ALLOW that [***] to happen with one of their representatives.  Thses people are thives, and they call bosting different cherities, changing up their technique and sometimes even their number (rarely changing their number though), no matter how many times you tell them to take you the [***] off of their call-lists, and of their subsidiaries etc. they will continue to call, you just have to block them AND REPORT THEM.  Their a bunch of scam-artists posing under the front of legitimate organizations.  [***] these people.  I already traced the calls back, and reported the living [***] out of them, but if they call again, I'm crashing their [***], I'll make a weekend of it...

called at 830pm but leaves no message. I'm on the DO NOT CALL LIST, so shut them down.

I got this call but hung up before anyone could get to me.  I have been scammed before from this area code.

This number has called me at least 5 times a week. Early morning, middle of the day and at night.  Why is this crap allowed?  How can some of these #s call & be out of service if you call them back? Sickening!!!

I have received 8 calls from this number in the past 3 months up until 8:55 PM. They never give up. I never answer the phone when i see the number. They never leave a message on my answering machine. I plan to get another answering machine  and put a recording on that say's "Were sorry but the number you dialed has been disconnected  or is out of service."

Now they claim to be with united cerebral palsy. Called two days in a row asking for donations and thanking me for calling them, which I never did. Never give to phone solicitors, one just never knows who they really are. Save it for your favorite local charities and take it to them.

Answer to see who Unavailable is and what number to press to get rid of them. Phone number displayed. No one answers me but laughing +-talking in background. Disconnected  
Some of these are charity solicitations. I don't give money but we are past retirement and into downsizing so giving away small stuff. However, for any reader -when they ask for clothes these organizations sell RAGS to paper manufacturers. Old clothes and raggedy stuff is just fine-rips and tears -just fine-no buttons -just perfect.
Reporting them takes a whila but the govt answers you complaint so evidently something is done.
