i got a call from this number

I got a call from thIs number lookin for someone with my same last name.
They are debt collectors. I called them back to see who answered.

I pay my debts.....to the company I owe the money to...and NOT to some scum-sucking,bottom feeding,
collection outfit. These third party collection agencies are nothing but bullys who get a percentage of every dime they can squeeze out of you!!!

I just got a call from this number, they wanted to know personal information about me, they had an old address they wanted me to verify - the address was 9 years ago!  They refused to give me any information about who they were other than they wanted personal business communication with me and they were a financial institution.  Van Goff & Williams is the name they gave me.  They were rude and offensive.  
I spoke to a supervisor who was even more offensive than the first person I talked too.  
My bills are paid, and I am angry they even have my phone number.  
Who are these creeps?

Buy a phone Panasonic...I block all these stupid calls...The phone will block 30 numbers...then after a month or two I remove one or two and enter another number....don't let these stupid people get to you...

Same here, they wanted me to verify all this personal info but refused to let me know who or what they were calling for?  Unbelieveable!!!!

Same here. I don't owe anyone anything, my bills are paid on time. So this is a bogus call and they act like they have a right to grill me for personal information.

They are recording the call, and say they need to speak to the right person with my name. I have no idea who these scum buckets are or what they would do with any information so they aren't getting any.

They are calling a PRIVATE number.   NEXT.

I am getting these calls also....I don't have any outstanding bills...I think it might be a scam operation to get info.  DO NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. AND TELL THEM NOT TO CALL BACK.

Got a call from this number looking for my husbands ex-wfe.  They won't give out any information as to why. I told them where to find her.

i got call from these number, and they don't say who they are?? i'm so mad they don't have the right to butter any one what i suppost to do?

Simple-get a call-blocker. The ones for your landline are available from service providers for a few dollars a month, and if you have a cellphone that runs apps, you might already have several free ones to choose from. See my post on whocallsme for (305) 918-2338 for more information.

i want to make this clear.There is a 99.89% chance that the phone company sold your number to these people.When changing your service or any changes to your service you MUST repeat this.

You must say that.If you do not.They will sell your social security information to a mass board for cash.Paying more money a month does NOT stop them calling.They have your number an will sell it too anyone else they can.Just for the pay off.You are on there records. rev'c call this saturday morning   wanted my last ss#  and address,  wont give  says it fro bill  10 yrs ago,    have po box  but new phone #, told  witch to get the correct information and sent me a bill from whom i owe  from 10 yrs.  if now eat [***]

This lady called me today asking for address from 12 years ago, wouldn't give it to her. Then she asked for my SS#, wouldn't give her that either. Said she was calling about a hospital bill from again 12 years ago. I was on Medicaid, don't you think The Department Social Services could have found me back then.

They call my house several times a week while I am at work, no messages. They don't leave a message, I don't call them back.

They call my cell phone constantly looking for someone with my last name.  I tell them they have the wrong number, they want to know MY NAME, ADDRESS and other personal information that I REFUSE to give to them.  Then they get mad at me and informed me that if I did not give them the information they wanted that I was going to be in big trouble.  I told them I was not giving them any information and to stop calling, and I hung up.  The man called back and when I answered, he said. "you f***ing b**ch don't you ever hang up on me" So I hung up again!  I went straight to youvoice.com and added him to my blocked calls list.
