855-454-1082.  Phony debt Collections scam

Phony debt collection scam. They said that I owed money to a certain company that I've never heard of or done business with. I don't borrow money for any thing. I bought my car with cash and I pay rent for the apartment that I live in.

They keep (first a woman now a man) calling about people I don't know.  Last call they said I was given as a reference for these people.  Sure would like to know how to get them to stop calling me.  This has been going on for 2 months.

I don't answer out of area calls, problems colved

Person called here for a non existant person and then got testy when I said there is no such a person here, so I slammed down the receiver..

Said They were a debt collection agency from education finance. Funny that doesn't show up on my credit report. SCAM

They called me today, and when I gave them my number, they said they can't find it. I told them, that they were a scam and they wouldn't get over on me. I had my credit report up and no Northstar is on it.

Exactly what I do.  That method really works.

Fake company scamming people

Call from this number, and did not answer as I didn't recognize the number.  Caller ID on phone said it was from Minnesota. Caller did not leave a message.  Nuisance call.

Checked the phone log on my phone, and I received a call from this number on 11-21-2016. Caller did not leave a message. Whoever called then called again this morning, so that number is on the auto-reject list.

Stop answering if you do not recognize a phone number. If the call is legitimate, they will leave a message (and yuoui cabn answer tyhe call when you hear them leave the message).

Scam call from 855-454-1082.  2nd time message left by Northstar re. debt collector but did not identify who message was for.  No debts owed here.  No other mail notification.

Called and ask for someone that was not me, when i told them they had the wrong number they hung up.  Called the number back, the caller was north star.  How you get my number looking for that person.  I knew the person but why are you calling me trying to get them. Wrong number

Called a couple times with no voicemail left before but today left a voicemail (man voice) indicating they are a debt collection. I have never heard of them and do not owe anything to them. SCAM!!!!

stop calling, No one will answer or respond

Received a letter from this company claiming to be a collection agency seeking money for a school loan they say I owe, my parents paid cash for my education. What a scam, should be put in jail.

These people called about 830 AM on July 3rd.  If I don't recognize a number then I normally block that number.  According to other people who posted on this site, they claim that number belongs to a collection agency called "North Star" who is trying to collect on student loans.  For me personally, I have never heard of "North Star" and I certainly don't have any student loans that I owe on.
