I get calls from this number a couple times a week for the past 3 to 4 months. I have never answered. I let it go to voice mail. They never have left a message. If they don't leave a message it must not be important.

I got a call from this number (3:45 pm). I never answered it. Never left a message. I reset my cellphone,?!

Yes it says "thank you for calling Harris and Harris" then it starts ringing

The people on this number keep calling me but never leave a message as to what the naturte of the call or what business it is stop calling me!!

In the past 2 weeks I have been getting at least 1 call a day from this #.  They leave a professional message saying Henry Hoover from Harris & Harris is calling.  They also leave an alternate # of 312-423-7484 to call if I am not the correct person.  They say it is for a collection...I am more than current with everyone...do not know why they are bothering me but hate to call and get something started...(feel thats what they are fishing for).  Odd thing is they use my official Drivers License or social security name.  I never use that name for anything...hmmmmm????

BS call from supposed Debt Collector. If you talk to them they attempt to get your social security number (something they would have already if this was a true debt). This is a scam. Blocking them from calling is your best option as they are relentless.

Has called and harassed my sister and other family members stating that I owe a debt. I have never had dealings with this company so I looked the number and name up and found out that it is a scam.

I answered Harris and Harris who claims to have purchased debt from Check Into Cash and tried to threaten me with legal action. I asked them to send me the information on the original debt which they say they don't do. They can email me an invoice but nothing to show where the debt originates, I should just trust them and pay back this payday loan. Well, I called Check into Cash directly and they have never heard of me and the collections department I spoke with says they handle debt in house. Harris and Harris is a total scam as far as I can tell.

Calls daily and pretends it's working for DTE collecting debts. We don't owe any money. Thinking the same as everyone else here, it's a scam.

They have been calling me too! They can hack into things that only show a little of your information and then they call you and ask you to verify something and when you do, they've got you. I tell them to send me a debt validation letter and if they can't supply that then they are a scam. What sucks about this "Patriot Act" is that it could be ruining some people credit because I don't give me info to no one, so if it was a true collector then I would be screwed...I think it's all well and good after 911 to be completely transparent but it should be so easy for scam artist to get into your stuff. It's ridiculous that they can get all of our information except most of the time one piece for example they can tell where you were born from your social (what state) then the last 4 are yours so if they can get you to verify the last four of your social then they've got you hooked. You really have to watch and make them show you proof that they are who they say they are. Don't ever give out info over the phone, make them send you something and if they don't it's a scam.

I got a call from this number today.  They said that they are "Harris & Harris a Debt Collector".  I find it funny that they did not say for what debt.  It is a automatic voicemail message. I blocked the number on my phone.  I am not going to chance calling them back and for it to be a scam.  They can mail me something if this is truly a debt collection agency.  Normally it would be a real person leaving the message in detail about the debt not just an pre-recorded message.
