Got a call from this number identifying itself as CIBC with a callback number of 855-771-6017.  I do not bank with CIBC, so I am assuming this is telemarketing or other shenanigans.

I too am having calls from this and it sounds like a robo call?

Keep getting robo calls from this person, almost every day.  I feel like it's a scam because when I called to tell them to stop calling all I get is a recording

FDR (Financial Debt Recovery)  says she is the Manager of this company she says her name is MRS SIRRANO calling on behalf of CIBC and to call her back immediately 1-855-531-0067  EXT 3210   located at 40 W Wilmot St unit# 10, Richmond Hill, ON L4B 1H8

WHICH IS BULLSHYT!!!!!  I never had any dealings with CIBC ever in my entire life!!!!! and one has to wonder if she is the manager why is she not giving out the correct telephone number for the business?????? which is listed as

Read the complaints on this company they are scam artists trying to collect on over decade old debts that they have NO LEGAL RIGHT TO!  

STATUE OF LIMITATIONS this company claims they are in Ontario, Richmond hill then these dummies obviously don't know the LAW!!!!!  2yrs for the orginal creditor to take debtor to court from the first defaulted payment anything after the first date the first defaulted payment occurred count from that date example:  September 17, 2000 last payment received no other payments from that date count 2years Sept 17, 2000 to Sept 17, 2002 the orginal credtor had legal right to take you to court but they didnt during the time frame therefore THEY ARE SOL!!!!! and no other company second third fourth or etc has any legal right to contact you or etc they can NOT take any legal actions against you!!!!!  

STATUE OF LIMITATIONS look yours up in your area.  Ontario is 2 years then NO LEGAL ACTION CAN HAPPEN!

For those who getting a call for someone else start logging all the calls times, dates, and etc you can actually sue this company take them to court and they will be fined $1000 per call.  Thats the law that was just recently passed.

How do you get them to stop?  They call every day!

I too have been getting robo type calls from Ms Serrrano, manager and gives out the number.  The call never states who this call is for and when I call back at the number given, I get put on hold and nobody every comes to answer.  Recently been getting live people calling from FDR financial debt recovery on behalf of CIBC this time (previously was on behalf of City Bank then another time it was TD Bank etc....) Needless to say, I have never had any dealings with any of these companies so it becomes very suspicious when they want to confirm your middle initial, your last name etc..  I do not give out that information to ANYONE!!!  Told them to go scam someone else.

Yes, it's collections...they have the wrong number, they were looking for a Mr. XXXXX, but I'm a female.  It was supposedly in relation to a student loan.  I don't think the statute of limitations applies to student loans.  Irrelevant though, these people don't have all the info & are phishing.  Don't pay them anything, even if you owe a debt to someone they "claim" to represent.  This is all too greasy to be legit.  They probably just pocket whatever they can scam out of people.

i just got the same call and same person !! i dont deal with cibc. i called and was on hold listening to music for 20 minutes!!!

I'm getting a call from the same company FDR when I call back they start to ask for my personal information just to grave it, and I'm thinking to hold it in their system.
They are saying the call is in behalf of CIBC. But they will not give any information about their call
until I give them my personal information.

Yes, they call sometimes everyday and then it stops for a week or two but it also has been going on for 3 months now.  I also have never been with the CIBC and will not respond to this phone number in case I get billed for calling that number.  I would like to know if there is a way to block there calls?

We just got a landline (we took off the original because of telemarketers). 3 days in and I'm getting calls from FDR..... Not going to return the calls. Waste of time. Waste of time just picking up to answer. Anyway, we can block the number?

These folks keep leaving messages reportedly on behalf of CIBC.  Never had an account with CIBC, never dealt with them ever, so I don't know why they call my phone.

Keep getting phone calls from the number too. It will say my name in a robot name. Than a recording that this fdr for for which I can't hardly understand its all muffled the lady sounds English not British english bit she never says her name. But this time I called and never said anything and a lady picked up and said hello. Hello can you hear me? And I remember someone saying don't say yes because they can record you saying yes they use it in their recordings. Anyways it sounded  like she had a bit of a foreign accent. Not a harsh one but you can tell she had a bit of an accent. She was typing in the background. then she said oh hey I got you money on that file a guy in the background goes oh yay! But when I looked up the actual number for fdr. The number is 905-771-6000 or the toll free number 800-763-3328. But technology is so crazy smart these days im pretty sure they duped the number in there system. If anyone can tell me. If they had a file number too refer to. let me know. Because I think we all must of had the same file number. I know I sound shady. But I've been getting these phone call's since 2015.

I don't give a s..it who the call is from! If it is CIBC the debt I had with them was PAID IN FULL about 3 years ago and I don't owe them a Rat's [***] ! Thank god for 'Call Display', although I am tempted to answer and tell them they have reached 'Hrundi V. Bakshi' !! AKA: Peter Sellers in 'The Party'

I got the same call and the same person and i told her it's wrong number and she keeps talking and she tells me i am the person they calling i told her check with the phone company and see this number belongs to who she is very ignorant so I don't know what to do with her

I am beginning to think that FDR stands for: Futile Desperate Recalcitrant and that CIBC stands for Creative Insidious Bothersome Cretans,, because the amount of calls blocked by my 'Screen Machine' are getting tiring !

I have no debt but they keep calling my phone! I wonder if their executives will be happy if they are receiving annoying calls every day! Here is the list:
