This is Red Beacon/Home Depot.  I guess if you make enough purchases there, they assume you are some kind of handy man and want to recruit you as a subcontractor.  Well, you know what people say about assume...it makes an ass of you (u) and me. The caller's name was Eric.  The first time it was some girl.  My advice?  Spread out your hardware purchases among several different stores.  His comment when I said my husband had a job?  "I'm sorry to hear that."  Needs to tweek his script a little.

Same thing, Red Beacon said my application was received by them, and they are a part of Home Depot.  I said you have a filled out application from me?  He said it was not yet filled out. Idiot script monkey.  I told him to put me on do not call list and hung up.

Left me a message about contractor referral network. Sounded like a hired company and couldn't spit out the message fast enough. At least she spoke English CLEARLY AND WELL.

Called (while I was working) and left a 3 minute voicemail of silence. I guess they didn't hang up properly.
