States it's an investigative office regarding a bad check refused any attorney info

I think this is one of those payday loan scammers. They're mostly out-of-country companies that call claiming you owe them for a bad check you never wrote. Check out the Better Business Bureau and FBI alerts.

Called with an auto bot call and was looking for a specific person (used a different auto bot voice).  The auto bot urged the receiver of the call to call with the location of the individual or forward their information to the individual.  The message had a case number - seems like a phishing expedition

I have gotten multiple calls from this "company" and have had my attorney contact them twice. It is a scam. They urge you to give them your debit card number after they mumble off your entire social security number and all of your personal information to "keep them from taking your case to court". My attorney has never received a call back and the calls stopped for about a week. Do not give them your information. Do like I did and put a freeze on your credit and your social security number. These people had every bit of information of mine stating that I had gotten a online loan that was never paid back. [***]!!!!!!!

I called this number back repeatedly and asked for their company name and address, and finally got an answer of "Baily & Roe Associates" and they gave me some obscure P.O. Box operating out of Columbia, South Carolina.  This company is a total scam - DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY.  I am reporting them to the South Carolina Attorney General.  This company has called my family and me REPEATEDLY for the last month (sometimes before 7 a.m.) claiming to try and collect a debt for my family member, and threatening to file lawsuits against us "by the end of the day" if we don't agree to pay them money.  They have also threatened physical violence against my family and me.  They have been threatening to file lawsuits against my family and me "by the end of the day" FOR A MONTH and no lawsuit has ever materialized.  In the past, I have usually missed their phone calls and just get some semi-literate message on my voicemail from someone who sounds stoned or drunk (or both) telling me to call "Arbitrator Shannon Davis" or "Arbitrator Cruz" at 844-745-7021 (which a website tracked to Downs, CA; if you search for that phone number on Google or Twitter, you will see TONS of postings from people who keep receiving these scam attempts) to resolve the matter or that a lawsuit will be filed by the end of the day.  DO NOT SEND THESE PEOPLE ANY MONEY - they are total gypsy scammers!!!!

How do you freeze your debit card and social security number from them?

Definitely sign up with a credit & debt reporting agency to monitor your credit.  These scammers have your social.  Watch out.  They are based in the USA.  The key is to do a trace and then file a police report to find them.

This number started calling my phone this past week.  They keep asking for another person, someone I don't know with the auto message.  When I press 2 (the option for I don't know this person), they put my on hold.  The first time they called the person said I would be removed from their list.  They just called me four days later and they person searched my number to see if it pulled anything up and said it looks like I have been removed.  Then I asked what kind of a business it was and she hung up on me.  This pissed me off so I called them back.  I kept getting hung up on when I would ask but they would tell me the name of the company was Bailey Rose & Associates or something like that.  I got pissed that I was getting hung up on so I spam called back and hung up on them every time. lol..

They are scammers.  When I called for a name - I was given Bailey and Roe.  They would not give me an address.  What is really disturbing is that knew the last 4 of my SSN without me giving it to them or confirming this.   Filing a complaint with my state.  I am sick of this!

They keep calling. No outstanding debt. Seems to be a scam.

The lady stated she was officer nelson looking for me about a debt that I never had and I just hung up and blocked them. Called my attorney he did some calling and its a scam. They try to scare people

I received a phone call today at work from this phone number- a pre-recorded message was left stating that they were trying to locate me, and that they have a case# that starts with 2014-XXXXXX, and that I or whomever answers the call is suppose to call their office back today at 1-855-947-7266 which is different than the # that was calling.  The 1-855-947-7266# called and did the same thing about 2 weeks ago.  I don't know anyone in SC, nor do I owe anyone any money that I am not aware of.  I am so tired of these types of scam calls. I will place a block on this phone # as well and report it to the DNC listing and the FTC.

Go to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau website and report these scammers.  They are set up by the government to deal with these illegal companies.  Also go to the FTC website and learn about legitimate debt collectors which these are not.  The more complaints the sooner these people will be shut down.
