This is ACT a debt collector for student loans

They keep calling me but will not tell my what the company does or why they are calling me.

This is a collection company looking to collect on student loans, but now they call themselves Tech Knowledge....  

They just called me to get information on my sister and said they were ACT but would not give me any other information.  If they think I'm giving them information, they can shove it.

I have no idea who this person is they call me from 3217101630 and they gave me # 8556547300.extension 3116

They keep calling my work, my family members and my cell phone. I have tried answering to get them to stop calling me but it's always and automated service. Has anyone had any luck getting them to stop calling?  If so could u please give me tips on how to stop their harassing calls?

I think they are student loan collectors, ACT.  They have repeatedly called my elderly parents (ages 86 and 88) But have not called me, nor will they tell my parents what it is about.  They just about scared my poor mother to death (and she has already had 2 strokes) when they called her and said they had urgent information about me but would not say what it was.  A few days later, they called, my father answered, and they wanted info on me as they said I was listed as his wife (I MEAN REALLY, you have got to be KIDDING!!!).  They won't say who they are, only that it is urgent, and they are scaring my family.
I'm not running from my loans- I just can't pay them as I have NO JOB IN THIS ECONOMY and now they are harassing my parents for info on money, which I don't have.  Of course, every time I try to call them to make arrangements I'm put on hold till my phone runs out of battery power.

I am receiving harassment calls from this number to my workplace despite telling them that there are no personal calls at work

Due to federal law they are not allowed to tell you why they called until they verify you are the person they need to talk to.

Call them back and see if they can help you. If you don't owe anything they will stop. But at least you could clear it up. Hiding doesn't make it any better.

I just called them back at 855-654-7300 and told them to take my phone number off there list and do not call me back again and they did

Tell them that your only income is social security disability. Collectors cannot touch the money that comes from SS disability. They usually stop calling. They did me but I am on SS disability.
