There was a message on my phone, no idea who it is...

Same - I could hear background noise but no actual talking

It's Wells Fargo Bank

I checked the reverse phone lookup and it says this is not a valid number

Wells Fargo Bank makes sense.  Since their takeover of Wachovia Bank in April, they have called here multiple times a day from many different numbers, always asking to speak to my husband, who works during the day.  I have explained until I am blue in the face that he can't be reached before 5; I've asked, pleaded, and demanded they stop calling here during the day, as I work from home, and this is horribly disruptive. Their numbers are like viruses; as soon as I get one to stop calling, another pops up outta nowhere.  It's their marketing strategy to inundate it's account holders with unsolicited phone calls a) because they CAN, and b) in the hopes you'll purchase some service you don't actually need just to get them to quit calling.  I have a better idea.  We are going to close the Wells Fargo account.

We are continuing to get calls from this number.  We would like to know how to block it on our phone so they won't be able to call anymore.  Google says it is an invalid number.

Don, go to your local phone company's website and there should be directions on how to block a number. I have Cox Comm. and it's simple to do and works great! Hope this helps!

this number called me five times today, out of nowhere.  we don't even have any business with wells fargo, not sure if it's them, but if it is i have no idea why they'd be calling.  thanks to Jenny for that helpful tidbit about blocking numbers!

I want the calls to stop.

It is Wells Fargo trying to peddle insurance. I got lucky today and actually had a human at the other end of the line. Told her to put me on the "do not call" list. Said she would comply, but said it may tale up to 30 days to take effect. I told the human that wasn't good enough - that the calls must stop immediately.

If I get one more call from 855 656 1463 I'm going to my Wells Fargo branch to complain and threaten to pull my account to another bank. Enough is enough.

I'm getting several calls (10+) a day..   It's REALLY annoying!!

Hi Mike.....next time pick up the phone, wait a few seconds and with luck you'll talk to a telemarketer. Tell her to put your number on the do-not-call list. I did that yesterday morning. So far, no more calls! Keeping my fingers crossed.
