I called this number and spoke to a gentlemen by the name of Micheal Salvatore at ext. 117. He says I have an outstanding balalnce of $510.00. I told him I don't have a checking so give me his mailing address and I will forward the funds in a money order. He stated they don't except that kind of payment I would need to go get a prepaid card and put funds on that and call him with the prepaid information and he'll except that payment.

Got a call from a guy at this number, he said his name was Joseoh ext 119.

I also received a call from Michael Salvatore he informed me that he was the main arbitrator and that I committed bank fraud; I informed him that I have NEVER opened up a bank account with false information.  He then started to say that he will be submitting my information over to the county I live in, I told him better yet send the information to my attorney. He was very rude; I told him that any information that you have will need to be sending to my attorney in writing.  I informed that he do not have my permission to contact me at work or home and any verbal communication from this point will be treated as harassment.   He then hung up the phone

I received a call from a VERY RUDE lady or animal at that informing me that I was part of a legal investigation. I hung up and they called my job and i informed her not to call my job and she called back threatening me that it is in my best interest not to hang up and that they have all my bank info and will take what I owe them and I hung up. These damn debt collectors are getting out of control with the way they talk to people.

This company call my cell phone today and my job number leaving a threatened voice message on my job phone and it was a lady.  These people are sick in the head.  I am going to report them to the governor here in New York.  They buy old accounts for hardly nothing and trying to re-open it to see if they can get money out of you.  I have a brother-in-law that works with the collections company and he told me what they do.  I have accounts that have been closed for some years and I check my credit report twice a year and that is when I find out they are closed I do not answer to these collections agency.  Its ashamed how they threatened people with their mess.   This so call rude agency comes up as AFB Associates.  I should sue their behind with harrassing people.

I received a call from Mrs. Jackson and Thomas Landry from 855-676-2516 ext 119 they are asking me for 1020.00 I am a Cancer patient and do not need this type of collection activities plus I have reported them to the federal trade commission and Better Business Bureau. I will go forward  to file a lawsuit for harrassing me.  The federal trade got their info and will pursue to close those offices down.  DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO ABOUT YOURSELF EVEN THOUGH THEY GOT IT SOME HOW OFF THE INTERNET> BLOCK THEIR CALLS ITS ALL [***]>

Guy left a voice mail stating he was from the county office (knew what county I live in) and said I or my attorney should return his call about a hearing on Thursday and gave me a bogus case number (searched country records and the format given was not even correct).

same creeps just change there names and numbers how they get our info is beyond me, when i see there number pop up i answer ________county sheriffs office, they hang up

I got a call on my cell number and work number from a Mr. Santorini. Says he is the main arbitrator with AFB Fraud Department and left a message with the usual threat that I committed check fraud, they will file a judgement against me so my wages can be garnished, lien on property, suspension of drivers license, etc. Even though the original call came from 855-676-2516, I googled the number he left for me to call back, which I didn't, - 888-682-7475 x106 and it shows that it belongs to:

These are the same people calling and leaving messenger on my phone playing like they are a investigator and need to get intouch with them right away.  People, are getting tire of these kind of calls and this has happen before with a different phone number and extension number.  When calling this phone number the same person answer the phone like a business.  These calls need to be look into and stop this scam immediately.F

Got a call from ryan ferguson on my cell and at work. At work number acted like it wasn't me he proceeded to tell me all kinds of information.   I questioned him about it and he said he didn't say much stuff as to what call the was pertaining to.  The number he called from is 1-877-764-9809.  How can we make these companies stop.

My brother recieved a call from these people looking for me he gave me there number 1-877-764-9809   and I called them back I ended up reaching AJ Hankins or Hopkins, When I asked who he was with and what he wanted he said he was with AFB Associates and that he was callin on behalf of The Cash Store( Which I did have a loan with 2years ago) When I explained to him that I was filling for bankruptcy he said that my bankruptcy would not cover this and that they were going to charge me with a $2000.00 court cost, a $250.00 fine, garnishment of my wages or tax refunds and ask the courts to suspend my license until everything was paid off unless I wanted to settle for $496.89 imidiaetly when I explained I didnt have that he said well we could seperate it into 3 payments for you, I agreed to that and sure behold The day they went to take the money from my card they took way more then what they were suppose to, I did a little research and found a posting of them being a scam I called my Gerneral Attorney and asked him if there was anything open against me and he said no!!!! these people got 175.00 from me that i will never get back but at least I know they are a scam and I know they wont be able to get anymore money from me

They got over 750 dollars from me and now when I called to find out why I didn't get a reciept in the mail the number has been disconnected.

Person has been calling to look for my ex babysitter -  rude as hell and lies and now has given me part of that babysitters social security.  The secretary was worse!  Tried asking people for supervisors and they would hang up on me.

Has anyone ever been arrested because of these people from AFB i keep trying to get info from them or have them send me somthing in writing they just hang up and keep ahrassing me with arrest

I got the same phone stating that I they are collecting on a loan from the cash store. I have never had a loan there. They threatened me with a judgement and liens on my property. They threatened to call my family members, which they did mention the names....don't know how they got their names..scary. These people are so rude!!! I told him that if he contacts me again or anyone that I know that I would have my brother who is an FBI agent contact him. I said since you have the names of my family I am surprised you didn't do your homework to see that he works for the FBI. The man hung up on me. I called back and and I continued to call every hour for two days just to give them a taste of how it feels.

I just got a phone call from them today. The Federal Trade must not have been able to do anything in regards to these people. I am going to contact the Federal Trade today and make a complaint. This bogus company needs to be put to a stop. They are scamming money!!!!

I made the mistake of taking out a few payday loans last year.  I kept receiving upsetting voice-mails from AFB associates, as well as the office of "United".  Each claiming to represent different payday loan companies.  AFB was the worst of them though.  They called threatening to have my driver's license suspended, and claiming that they were already in the process of filing with my county.  Although I was pretty sure that it was illegal for them to make such threats, I also have read and heard horror stories of payday loan companies purposely not providing people with the summons to appear in court, so that they can be granted more money owed, when the person doesn't appear.  I have heard of people going to jail for what started out as a $250 loan.  Then they were told they owed over $2000.  Even though I know all of that is illegal, I was still afraid that they would pull something like that.  So I finally called them back to schedule a payment.  They had all of my info already, so I didn't think to question at the time whether they were legitimate.  I scheduled "a one-time settlement payment" with each of these companies.  United got $300 from me, and AFB got close to $900.  United did email me a confirmation after I had to call and tell them that they forgot to send me one.  The confirmation/receipt looks like something I could have just made myself.  AFB did not send me any receipt or confirmation at all.  I called Ms Pollowski, who was the person who kept calling, and who I had spoken to when I called to schedule payment.  It had been a couple days since the payment had posted to my account (which the payment they took was actually slightly more than what was agreed) and I did not yet receive a confirmation.  She told me she would email it to me in 20 minutes.  6 hours later I called again and spoke with "supervisor" Mr Bowers.  He then told me that I would receive a notice in the mail after 30 days.  I asked "why then did Ms Pollowski tell me multiple times I would receive an email right away?" After some BS about having to wait 30 days to make sure I don't do a charge-back to my account, I asked "well if I were to do a 'charge-back' wouldn't you have a record of that which you would be able to use against me?"  He said yes, but he didn't want to have to take any chances.  He then stated that he would see what he could email me, but was afraid that if he did, it would come back to bite him later.  It was ridiculous the things he was saying.  He ended stating that he would email me a confirmation, but he never did.  At least by that point I had at least been a little wiser, and recorded the phone conversations, and saved the threatening voice-mails.
