AARP wanting medicare drug information

I am getting collect calls from this number and would very much like to know who or where it is coming from.

When I answer There is a message about health care.

has something to do with my healthcare provider.

United healthcare

Given a number to call.

No information

A bother call/Don't bother.

You can't be getting a collect call from a Toll Free Number.

If you want to know who is calling, maybe answer the phone and ask, web search the number or call the number.

I didn't recognize this number so I let it go to Voice-Mail. The robot knew my name, so I picked up. It asked me to state my date of birth - without telling me who was calling! I couldn't circumvent the robot, so I hung up. Bad idea!

You can call them back - I just did and their computer recognized MY incoming number - immediately routing me to the appropriate message (using my name). THIS TIME I heard a recording at the front, stating the caller was "Austin Rx" calling for United Healthcare.

It's an offer to review meds with a consultant to eliminate duplication and/or reveal less expensive options. I chose to TRANSFER and spoke to a human being ... relating that their spoken name didn't end up on my answering system and it seemed like a great set-up for identity theft. I suggested that they add a delay to the recording and try a few calls to actual people before unleashing it on the general public.

She was very nice and will forward the information to her supervisor. (Whew!)

AARP block caller

May or may not b United r Optum. I doubt it is. Think it's another scammer trying to hijack your insurance and personal info. Asking for ssn r member number r cc number should be an immediate tipoff. United r Optum already has that info if you r a customer of theirs. Ask them for theirs and see how far you get.

i called optumRX on the optumRX number.  Customer Service assured me that they had never called.
