- CarleeRegarding your question as to who owns the number 855-801-1232. . .it is FMS, as collection agency.
- M| 5 repliesPretty sure this is Financial Management Services, the collection branch of the United States Treasury. Chances are you owe back taxes. Huge bummer and I'm so sorry, been there. :(
- Caller: Financial Management Services
- Call type: Debt collector
- G replies to M| 2 repliesSorry to burst yer bubbleBut I'm on Disability and haven't filed taxes in over 10 years So I doubt they are calling me bout back taxes....
- M replies to G| 1 replyThat doesn't burst my bubble, that's fantastic.
- Rich GFMS was not very aggressive. They gave me the option to heard more of some prerecorded message then speak to a rep.. NOT much of a collections service. Maybe they are not looking to collect but get as many calls made in one day so that they can write-off bad debt from taxes or something. I didn't owe anything to anyone but maybe past apt renters owed some bills at this address so I'm guessing that is just water under the bridge and they can't collect from whomever used to have this number as a phone contact number.
- Caller: FMS
- Call type: Debt collector
- Rich GNot sure why they keep calling but they don't do their company justice since they don't call directly and use some type of automated calling machine. They call just about every day but don't understand that leaving a message is not proactive to solving a problem. ""Free Call Toll"

(Too bad that they aren't selling anything like advertising. Our town could really use workers that are this persistent at calling. Nowadays no one wants to really work this hard.)
The recorded message doesn't seem to want to solve any problems or offer any solutions. I wonder if debt consolidation is their business. They should call the people in Washington D. C. to see if they need any assistance.- Caller: Unknown maybe FMS
- katCalls every night, I owe no one. Why would they call me if it is the US Treasury collection agency. We are elderly, do not work and have no income to file taxes on. Just SS. Please someone who is good at speaking stop these calls. I am sick, renal failure and do not need these annoying calls.
- k scCalling again, pick up this . The recording says please wait for the next available operator. I hung up. Very tired of this.
- so.carWasn't home but caller ID showed they called at 5 minutes of 8 pm tonight. If this is the US Treasure why have they not written a letter. This surely a scam. This is the way they have always done their collection. I do not owe taxes, on SS and no income. This needs to be reported to the IRS.
- teed offCalled again this morning a little after 9 am. It will never stop. Someone who gets angry enough try to put a stop to this. I am thinking of calling the police, no other option, on DNC list which is a bunch of crp.
- Sara replies to MThey are not a federal agency, nor are they affiliated with one.
- BrandiThey call every other day.
If I answer they put me on hold & I'm not waiting on them to decide to talk. If I ignore it, they will not leave a message- Caller: No Name
- maeunwelcome wanted my address and social security number did not give

- annoyed 52Male voice "calling on a recorded line to assure professional......" wanted to speak with ......"on a personal business matter."
Did not identify himself. 1:04 pm 3-31-17. I hung up. - Donna| 1 replyFor anyone who states that it is from the US Treasury, you’re wrong. IRS only makes co tact with taxpayers through the mail. No email, telephone calls, etc. number one they don’t mess around. If you ignore certified letters when you owe money they have the power to levy your wages, social security and seize your bank accounts. If they say they’re US Treasury it’s a scam.
- Colleen replies to DonnaI would agree.
- JohnReceved calls on July 6,10,12 and now13th. I installed a call blocker on the cellphone which is the only phone. No one gets through unless their in my contacts. I'm also on DOC list but I still log them.
Those collection agencies buy old notes (debt loans) and try to collect. Don't talk to them to settle cause that will be put on your credit report.- Caller: FMS ?
- MarkFMS calls my number but never leaves a message. I finally caught one of the calls; once I said hello it took a few seconds then the called said hello twice, when I replied they hung up. I went through my phone directory found the number and called them back. Person who answered said the call is being recorded and how can he help, I asked why they keep call this number and hanging up? He asked if a Perry lived there. I told him no one by that name lived here and bluntly told them to remove the number from their database. Will see if these harassers call back.
