PDL Group is a collections company. After the I'm-sure-it's-legally-sufficient "if you're not you, don't listen to us reveal personal information" spiel, the recording mentioned that they were calling about returned items on my checking account. I verified that I had no such items.

You must work there or on some serious good drugs for that lie.

They did the same thing to me.  Left messages on work message machine.  I called and asked for a copy of "the affidavit they had on me."  No one was able to provide it.  It is a collections company by their running a scam?

PDL is a collections agency and gets accounts from Check N Go and places like that, so if you ever defaulted on a loan or borrowed money from a payday advance and didn't pay it back PDL will get the file.
