Certain restrictions apply. Call for details of participation. This offer is not sponsored by or affiliated with Delta Airlines but they are a major supplier. Taxes, processing fees and reservation fees are the responsibility of the recipient. Offer void where prohibited by law. Not applicable to Alaska or Hawaii.- Caller: unknown
- KT| 1 replyOf course they will give you two tickets anywhere Delta flies. All you have to do is call them, give them the RSVP code and you CC number and you will recieve your tickets! SCAM!
- CH| 1 replyHave not gotten telephone calls from this number, but received a postcard (with no return address) in the U.S. Mail today offering "Complementary [sic] 7 Day/6-Night Cruise for 2, leaving from any major port in the U.S." and plus "Call within 48 hours, you will receive as a bonus 2 Round Trip Airfares Leaving from or Going to Any Major Airport in the Continental U.S.!!" The number on the card is 1-855-842-0415.
Card suggests that this is with "Carnival" (includes the stack logo, but nowhere the full name of the cruise line, and includes a disclaimer that "this promotion is not sponsored by or affiliated with Carnival Cruise Lines, but they are a major supplier." (That sounds way too much like the "major award" from "The Christmas Story"!), and a flag logo that looks similar to U.S. Air's but the actual printed language by the logo is "Fly a US AIRLINES".
There are several forums at Cruise Critic and similar sites detailing the fact that this is an on-going scam (including links to nj.com about criminal charges having been brought against some of the perps), including a photo of one recipient of a card that looks almost identical to the one I received today. So it appears criminal charges against a couple of folks (underlings no doubt) is just a speed bump to continuing with the next round of mailings.
Sounds like they don't just wait for their scam line to ring based on the postcards, but are eager to perpetrate the fraud by any available means, including calls.- Caller: Unknown
- AZlucky winner replies to SwordsmithReceived the same card in AZ this week.
- curiousgeorge replies to SwordsmithSame card in Louisville, KY today?
- abusydaddyGot the same card in Cleveland, Ohio. Notably, it doesn't say "free" anywhere! Of course they want you to assume that.
Biggest red flag: Nice huge Delta logo on the front, "DELTA" in largest type on back, and small print: "This offer is not sponsored by or affiliated with Delta Airlines but they are a major supplier." So they've just admitted misleading you. ("Major supplier"?? I'm sure Delta will "supply" tickets to just about anyone willing to pay for them).
And of course there's no actual sender's name anywhere on the card.
Can you spell S-C-A-M???? - MD| 1 replyYes, I also got that DELTA postcard and 2 Round Trip anywhere in USA.
definitely SCAMMER!!! - stickslm replies to MDAlso received the DELTA 2 round trip tickets postcard. 999 639 6990 I'm in MA.
- SuperAwesomeDudejust got one of these free delta tickets in Mpls, MN
not calling it.
Like High School Economics Teacher MR. Anderson said many years ago "If you remember nothing else from this class, remember this: there's no such thing as a free Lunch!"- Caller: Delta
- glen in phoenixrecieved the carnival card in az today glad I found this site
wonder why this is able to continue????? - sailordd878 in Gilbert AZReceived the Carnival cruise offer today. Figured I'd Google the ph # and ended up here. Hate to see them waste trees sending out this stuff.
- MMCV replies to KTI received the same postcard offering 2 round trip tickets plus hotel. We checked Delta's official site and there's no mention of such deal. Besides, some of the letters on the front of the card are blurred, like it was taken out of the printer too quick! SCAM!!!!
- Sheree Hobson replies to CHI believe you will get the free flights....I've done these before. You must probably sit in on some kind of buy in on something...if you notice it states it is not Timeshare or Land Sale Offer. But it must be something they want you to look at that costs big money. If you are good at sitting there and just saying "no", you do get the trip. I am sometimes willing to do this, but husband does not want to.
- AshleyI got the same thing from Continental airlines promising the free hotel stay too but it was addressed to my dad. No where on any document anywhere has my dad's name and my address as one...He has never lived at my house and I think its a scam.
