This is debt collector representing themselves as process servers. "Michelle Jones" calls from a Houston landline (713) 469-9399, and tells you she is a process server for an attorney and gives you a reference/case number and the 855 number to call. She refused to tell me the name of her company.

I will ask my attorney to call them and tell them to back the f*** off, and I advise everyone else to do the same.

These people called my house for my father in law.  They say that my in laws had left this number as a relative.

they are calling from 855 866 3328 or 951 637 9466.  They have process servers telling you that if you don't return call by tomorrow, you might as well not return the phone call.  Mike Jones and Nick Stevens have both called.  They are calling from Danbarr, Verde and Associates LLC.  they will give you a case # and then tell you that you owe for some past due cash loan from the internet.  they tell you that it is a pending civil matter and they are referring it to your local da's ofice for an nsf.  when they answer the phone they say corporate office and then forward you to a legal administrator.  Their address is 11993 magnolia ave  ste 4  riverside ca  their fax # is 951 637 1486.  look up t heir web site at info@danbarrverde.com.

Got a call today from Mike Jones. Says he has called numerous times and if we don't "call back today, there will be no need for our cooperation." I do not appreciate his tone of voice, and he has never left a message at my house before.

This organization is a debt collection agency who just blindly calls numbers they are given. They have been calling my number for PREVIOUS person. They should be checking to see who has the number before wasting someone's time.

These people called me also regarding a past due internet loan.  The thing is, that they were paid by my bank a long time ago! I thought I could have been wrong so we were setting up payments...however, when I told them I needed time (my father passed away recently), they ended up not charging the account for the second payment and did not call me back... I have NO idea whether I owe the money or not, however, I DO know that I never wrote anyone a check for an internet loan place for anyone to process to the local DA.  What do I do, I have already paid them 100$

They called me at my Job telling me that I needed to give them all abnk info or I was going to Jail I refused and they told me they were coming

I called back a few times and after some 'encouragement', they took my phone number off their calling list because I was being uncooperative

They called me from a local land line. They ASKED me if someone would be home to accept a court subpena. I told them now, Then I questioned them and she asked who I was again. If these "people" show up at my home my Chow/Rottweiler will be let loose on them. I DARE YOU to show up at my home. I know you all read this. Please show up. My dogs is hungry for one of you.

My husband just got the same call.  I had  friend call and say that "her client" needed paperwork stating this happen.  A suppervisor got on the phone and said some federal law [***] and then She came back the with the same and then he hung up.  This is a Scam people do not give any information to these people.

This same number called my house and said about the same thing..So i ask her what's my address and who got her to call and she said she don't know....Where do they do that at...

I am so upset, I just got home from work to find a call on my answering machine from this man calling himself Rick Allen at 951-637-9466.  It was very threatening and scary.  My 10 year old daughter received the message before I got home from work and was very scared.  When I dialed the number back they told me they were the Court System and I was over reacting to the extremely demanding and mean message left.  On top of that it was for someone else that I never even heard of.  Is this how debt collectors work for real?  I guarantee this man will spend some time in hell for treating people this way and then there's a little something called Kharma.  It must stink to be him!

Just got off the phone with these ***********'s.
First she identified herself as 'Corporate office" , when asked if this was Danbar Verde and Assocs. she denied it. Would not identify the company. Asked for rick Allen..put on hold...came back that she needed my # to help me find him.

I asked again for a company name and was then told DV and associates. when I called her on her previous statement of not knowing who Danbar  Verde she said she just 'misunderstood me'.

Folks ... these are scammers and liars of the first order.

Chances are, these collectors are not licensed in your state to collect.  In my state (New Mexico) it is a 4th degree felony to collect without a license.  Know your rights!  Report them to your state licensing board, the BBB and your state AG office.

You have to stop giving people over the phone your personal info, you give them any info and then they sell that to someone else.  If there were any summons or processor coming for you, they do not contact you over the phone first.  In Texas where I am from, the local Constable's office serves you with court summons.  The is an illegal scam they are running, they are merely debt collectors posing as lawyers and process servers.  They scare you into thinking that you will be arrested and try to force you into entering a payment arrangement.  Once you have payed that money and then realize that they are not legit, your money is gone and no refund will be coming your way.  The company that contacted me today was calling from 216-759-3315 and I refused to give the any info and refused to write down or call their 1-800#, I told them that if anyone needed to contact me that they could call me directly.  The man hung up and then moments later and woman called and told me to sit on a d***....when you call the number back, it says that the magic jack customer you are trying to reach cannot be located.  The name of the company is Dan Barr Verde Associates, they are just a collection company not a lawyers office.  Their website is danbarrverde.com, which suprisingly is under construction.  PLEASE do not ba afraid of these people.  They use to be called NCO Financial and told me last year (yes last year) that they were on the way to my house to serve me.  I told them I was outside waiting and asked where she was.  She did not even know the name of the town she was in...that's because they are located in Cleveland, OH.  DO NOT answer their questions, DO NOT give out your information, and whatever you do-DO NOT give them any money or banking info.  I have contacted the local FBI Scam Complaint, BBB and may contact a lawyer.  Enough said.

I was sucked into this scam and gave them a lot of money...then they sold my account to someone. So, I turned the tables on them and threatened to call my ATTORNEY...so they gave me a cancellation of debt letter. I still have everything, I should've sued the pants off of this company...Michelle Stevens called my employer and said they were serving me with a warrant. I was EMBARRASSED! Anyway, John Russo had my case and SAID he was an attorney...I believed him. Don't fall for their tricks like I did.
