My daughter and I live in Pensacola FL, we got an "emergency medical bill" from these people. They are listed as Jacksonville Emergency Consultants ~ their address is:

The bill gives only the last name of the DR...and MD.... all medical bills list the whole name of doctors...also my daugher was never in Jacksonville FL! I looked up the address it does not exsist! I looked up the phone number...It's INVALID! This bill had 8 extentions listed, we called all 8 over the last 2 weeks~ never a single call back. I am reporting this and sending in a copy of this bill to the BBB and the FTC! We had to report a Medical Identity Theft Case against this company! BEWARE!!!!

I got a bill from these folks too for 600 dollars with no explanation other than "balance forward"

I too live in Pensacola, Fl, where they have no services listed, and finding any information about this group on the internet is pretty much impossible. on the bill itself, their name lists Jacksonville, their address is in Lake Mary, and their contact mailbox is in Tampa. very shady

I too got a bill from this company indicating "balance forward".  We have never used this service or received anything from them.  I too have made numerous calls to all 8 numbers listed on the bill and left numerous voice mails.  I have never received a return call.  BEWARE, this appears to be a rip-off company  preying on the elderly and infirm.

I too have a bill from them and I live in Ft Walton Beach. They are very real company as I have been reported to a collection agency by them. When you go to a doctor or a hospital there are services for the facility and services for the doctors. They represent the doctors only and not the facility. I got a $1000 dollar bill from the Hospital and a $500 dollar bill from them. When I contacted the hospital about them they told me that the doctors bill separate from the hospital. I don't know if it helps but I can assure you if you don't pay it they will turn it over to collections and it will be on your credit report.

My son received the same correspondence but somehow they had information on his previous employer's insurance and associated his name with it. He does not live here in Destin but they obviously he was associated with this area in some way. Time to call OK authorities, BBB, FCC

I went to memorial hospital in Jacksonville back in July, I paid my hospital bill and everything. then on September 20 I received a bill from Jacksonville emergency consultants with a bill if $250. I've called a total if 20 times to find out what the bill is for, and to make arrangement to pay it. every time I've called I've gotten a women's voicemail and left a message, but never got a returned call. I called every extension in hopes of talking to a person, but every extension went to a voicemail. I had my insurance company call them and they too only got voicemails. I've had the hospital I was treated at try and call and they also only got a voicemail. so I went online to find a number that actually worked ad have found 2 different phone numbers for this company yet they are no help as well. I don't want this to go to collections but I also don't want to pay a bill that could possibly be a scam.

please help... no one picks up or ever calls you back at jacksonville emergency services. Ive called several times,tried numerous extentions and other numbers... my bill is way to expensive. need to talk to someone

I received medical care in Pensacola, Florida.  Insurance company claims to have paid all claims but shows no record of claim from Doctor listed on the bill Jacksonville Emergency Consultants sent to me.  I too tried approximately 10 calls to the provided number having to leave a voice mail each time on "Shandy's" voice mail at ext 4241.  Each time I left phone numbers to each location where I can be reached almost anytime of the day.  Each phone has a voice mail option in case I was not available.  As of this date, no returned calls.  It's been over 90 days and haven't heard a word from these people.  Can't find any info on this company online.  I at first wanted to pay by credit card but there was no area provided on the bill for the information.  So I decided to pay over the phone.  Again, NO ONE WILL RETURN MY CALLS!

these people are so nasty and rude, they hang up on you. I found out they sent me to collections by pulling my credit report and I have never been reported to collections!!!

I also received a bill.  The first month, I called and got voicemail and left a message for someone to return my call because I had no idea what it was about.  There is absolutely no information on the bill.  Never heard from them so I called back and left a message that I would be disregarding the bill.  Next month, another bill.  Called and eventually got someone named Shandy, or at least that is what it sounds like when she says her name.  She explained that the bill was for the ER doctor I had seen in April which was separate from the ER bill.  The bill was for $778.  I have insurance and should only have to pay a $20 copay.  I contacted my insurance provider and was told that I only owed the $20 copay and no more and if they had any questions to contact my insurance provider.  I called back to this business and left a message that I was sending a check for the $20 and I expected my account to be cleared and that if they had any further questions, to contact my insurance provider.  I have continued to receive bills and have called repeatedly and asked for someone to return my calls.  Nothing.  It is not my responsibility to call Joyce at a long distance # when I have done my part.  I have paid what I was supposed to pay.  I, too, will be reporting them to the BBB.
