I received a letter with award tkt from US Airlines  to call 1-855-879-8217

I am said qualified for an award of 2 round trip airline tickets in the continental US, "the value of which is up to $1,398.00". I wish it could be a bank chèque instead, which would not be definitely refused by me. The number recommended to call is also 1-855-879-8217, from US Airlines.

I did not get a call but a letter.  The letter stated they tried to call.  Who are these guys?  Make them go away!  They are bothetsome.

They gave me a Claim Number. How true can this be.

It was a letter from "US Airlines." Since my son is a pilot for US Airways, I thought it was something he had done. It gave this number for me to call.

I received a letter in my email with this phone number 1-855-879-8217 To claim to round Dios les bendiga amados deseo llevar alguito para la persona que esta necesitada ,..familiar en la iglesia a donde tengo que ir gracias espero su respuesta., :) Chana trip  Airline tickets I called and they told me I need to go to a place somewhere in Pennsylvania & listen to somebody who has something to offer to me, with no obligation to buy anything and get my free tickets... Is it timeshare? Is it one of those miracle gold products? I don't know & iI don't have time to find out.

My wife received the same letter. Common scam in order to sell, their services. There is no "USAirlines", the name of the real airline is US Airways.

Never r4ecieived a call but received a letter from US Airlines with this phone # 855-879-8217.  Figured it was faked.  To good to be true, 2 roundtrip airline tickets, value of $1398.00.  Jerks!  I HATE SCAMMERS!

Just recvd a letter from 'US Airlines' about free round trip tickets...figure it was a spam and it is. It was signed Dana Kline VP.

Yes, I got the same letter. Just US Airlines on top, letter dated May 17th, Signed by Vice President Diana Kline.  Said they have attempted contacting me several times without success.  

No they haven't!!!  I would know if they have been trying to contact me and I haven't entered any contests so HUGE RED FLAG for me folks.

I am sure this is a scam, the reason I think this, is...
They are using a name similar to US Airways thus making you think they are associated with the airlines listed at the top of their letter.
Also, they refer to Marriott Hotels, which is famous for time shares.
I did a search on the phone number on my favorite search engine (Goodsearch) and found hundreds of posts of people getting just such a letter and all of them found it suspicious.
Do like I did and shred the letter, and block the phone number from your phone.

Presorted mailer claiming I won free airline tickets and hotel reservations. Check
Heading black and white, cheap.  Check
Use of airline titles that don't really exist (American Airlines, not airways) check
Probably a number that allows someone to charge your phone number mega bucks per second to call. Leave it alone.
