- AK| 1 replyLady with a heavy accent claimed to represent "Microsoft". Said she was calling due to updates not being accepted by my computer. Wanted access to my computer. I suggested she e-mail me and that she must have my e-mail address then said Good-Bye!
- Caller: www.ceylon-tech.com
- s.h.called to say there was a problem with our computer and she can see it that she is with microsoft wanted access to our computer
- Julien| 4 repliesRecieved several phone calls from this number wanting acces to my computer, and wanting info regarding my operation systems, said that i had a problem with my microsoft updates.
- Caller: unknown, could not understand them!
- Ann| 3 replies1-111-1 popped up on my caller ID. The man identified himself as being from Microsoft Ceylon using the same update ploy I'm seeing that people have reported to this site. When I told him that I would not allow anyone who doesn't show a valid name or number on my caller ID I would certainly not allow him to take control of my computer. He then gave me the 855-888-5881 # and told me to call back and ask for him. These people are morons...like giving me a phone number, having me call and ask for him is any kind of verification that he actually works for Microsoft. I suggest everyone report this # to the National Do Not Call Registry if you haven't already. Can you say scam????
- Caller: Microsoft Ceylon
- nunziaSteve Culver from Celon Tech support telling me that my computer that is older than one year has a thousand documents in it that are causing my computer to be slow. gave me a log in website www.logmein124.com

I pretended to be very interested an asked how much this diagnotic would cost me. He said it was free from Microsort.- Caller: Celon Tech support from Microsoft.
- s.a.t.let me put my 2 cents in as well, i have received calls from this same 888 # a few times a day, i finally decided to answer it and was told the same BS that my computer needed microsoft updates told him my
computer is just fine i dont need anything done to it, but of course he was relentess and continued to go on
about how this is vital that i take these steps. blah blah blah, but i wasnt giving him any personal info it just
annoys me to no end that they make every attempt to scam hard working, honest, people especially in rough economic times like these. sad but true what this world has come to.- Caller: 1 855 888-5881

- PhillyI received a call coming from 11111. This number had been coming up in my call log for the few previous days so out of annoyance, I answered it. A man with a heavy middle eastern accent said he was calling on behalf of Microsoft about my computer not being able to receive updates. It took me 3 times asking him to repeat and speak more clearly to even get that out of him. I asked for a number to call back and speak to someone I could understand and he gave me 855-888-5881 and told me to ask for Peter Jackson. Then I immediately came to this site to post this message. We all can say that these scams/telemarketing cronies are idiots if they think we will fall for this [***]. But sadly, there are people that will play into their schemes. Hopefully, this post will just help someone else to protect themselves from this idiocracy.

- tom90265| 2 repliesCEYLON INFO-TECH BOTCH JOB
I received a telephone call from CEYLON INFO-TECH that my computer was desperately in need of attention. They in turn advised me of what this would entail, and after discussing the initial cost levels, I agreed on their charge of $79.99 for a one-time work-over (I owned and ran a custom computer design, assembly and configuration business from 1989 to 2000 and I wanted to observe their approach
and level of expertise).
CEYLON INFO-TECH to proceeded to take over access to my laptop online and begin hesitantly "fiddling" (note that absence of the words "technical" or "repair") with my machine, which I observed on the screen as they worked. Their employee (certainly no technician) carried out some sort of indecisive muddling with files and directories and, as a result, my was computer turned from a one year old happily customized WIN7 desktop-replacement-level laptop to a flat plastic doorstop.
Yup, CEYLON INFO-TECH managed to effectively destroy my PC's functionality in about half an hour!
Bravo, CEYLON INFO-TECH!
My five year old kid would need adult guidance and over an hour to do what your CEYLON INFO-TECH service guy (please, this was no "tech") managed to do in less than thirty minutes. That's right - my laptop would no longer boot up, nor could the online CEYLON INFO-TECH employee (once again, no "tech") repair the damage he had done!
Ultimately I was told to re-install WIN7 from scratch. Goodbye to six gigs of pix, data and a year software customization!
Yes, my bad was not backing up my computer. But, then, WIN7 has proved to be a dependable operating system and Toshiba makes a solid product, so I was not apprehensive and I figured that a company
with an strong online presence would be competent - WRONG!!!
BTW, CEYLON INFO-TECH refused to refund the $79.99!
"Our technician worked on your computer for about half an hour and it should be running much better now." And, oh yeah, "We will not refund
your money"
In the end, a word to the wise: if a call from CEYLON INFO-TECH arrives at your phone, just say "NO THANK YOU" and hang up! SAVE YOURSELF!
But, of course, maybe you are in favor of personally supporting online liars and thieves!- Caller: CEYLON INFO-TECH

oh i dont think that it is scam ! they are the best technical company . but i dont understand that what make feel that its a scammmmmmmmmmmm ? - opijni replies to deleted postYou, Edward and Joseph have now exposed this company as being a scam by making these positive reviews and posting them within minutes of each other. The only time this happens is when a scammer who is involved with the company tries to limit the damage that their bad reviews are having. Therefore you have made the situation worse for yourself and only have yourself to blame.
