I received a VM on my cell to call this number regarding document delivery.  This is some type of collection agency or as the person who told me after my asking twice, "we're a litigation firm".  The person answering got very rude after I refused to answer questions

I received a VM on my cell to call this number regarding document delivery.  This is some type of collection agency or as the person who told me after my asking twice, "we're a litigation firm".  The person answering got very rude after I refused to answer questions

I received two msgs from this number, saying they were sending legal documents by a certajn date and needed my information as to where I want them delivered, to my home or office. They tried to sound very professional. Sorry, but you don't get advance notice about legal documents and, they would know where to send them and wouldn't need me to tell them.  buzz off

This number has called 2x in 2 days.  Very rude, leaving a message for an individual that I do not know.  Something about some legal paperwork as required by state law.  Be available with ID to accept the legal paperwork.... Really???? are they serious.  Calls my number for a person I do not know and demands that I be available for acceptance of said paperwork at said time.  This has SCAM written all over it to me!!!

Called claiming delivery of legal paper.  Told them to send it, so I would know who to sue for harassment.  Bunch of lowlife idiots.  No company name mentioned or information about what they want or who they are, not sure how they expect to collect anything if they wont give out basic info.  Bunch of numnuts.

Got a vm from "Elizabeth Hubbell" at this number re: legal documents to be served via courier to either my home or work.  Called back asked what it was about, person on phone "John Carver" indicated "their client" (wouldn't say whom) was having the docs sent out for breach of contract re: an HSBC/Capital One credit card.  I have no idea what they're talking about.  Then they said the docs were being sent and should be returned indicating if I was going to hire counsel, file bankruptcy, or take care of it.  Uhhh, when I cited them for harassment, Mr. Carver became extremely rude, was talking/yelling over me, and kept patronizing the crap out of me saying he appreciated my concern over not knowing what the hell he was talking about, but he was just a messenger to let me know what the vm left was in regards to.  I said SURE, HAVE YOUR COURIER BRING IT TO MY OFFICE.  I work in a law office.  This is the kind of crap we laugh about on a daily basis.  It's a debt collector from probably a wayyy out of date debt and statute of limitations has more than likely run.  Stupid idiots.  Don't fall victim to this trap - they are illegally trying to obtain information.  Legal documents are NEVER forewarned or give prior notification of their arrival.  If they call again, claim they are HARASSING YOU and that you will report them to the FTC, the BBB, and your local congressperson.  Also tell them you know exactly what company they're calling from (even if you don't) and that you will have your lawyers be looking into their dubious ways of business. :D

I received a call from a number today was a local number telling me they needed to deliver legal document on Thurs.  They called two times in a row.  I called the number left on the VM and it was for a bad debt with Credit One bank.  I was able to gather info that the company is Alliance Capital Management.  They pulled the same shenanigans with me about being the middle person and that Credit One is seeking legal action and the only way to stop the courier is to set up a payment plan or pay the debt in full.  After talking with "middle person" for several minutes and her telling me that she has no control, her job is just to help us work something out she offered me a settlement on the debt but it was a lump sum amount.  I of course was not about to pay it without something in writing from the company and no way was I going to pay a lump sum to which the story changed again and they had a 3 pay option available.  While I know they are a debt collector and the debt is even due...their tactics of scaring you into paying almost had me.  Had I not read this I would have set up a payment because I don't want legal action.
