I am getting calls from an unknown number telling me that they are from a litigation department and charges have been filed against me.  They reference a case number but they don't offer any details.

I got the same phone call and I reported it to the police and to the FTC. I think it's a scam because when I called the number they said that I could make the lawsuit go away if I paid $250 and $900 of a loan I never even got.

my wife got the same call but they said they were with the state. The guy said his name was Brian and my case number was F122594. When I call all I get is their voice mail.  I had this same thing happen to me a year ago but when I threatened to call the police they wouldn't take my calls any more.

these people had all my information and threatened to serve papers for a loan in my name

did they have you social security number
