I got a call from them this morning stating I owe a loan n being prosecuted if i dont pay it back...told them to stop calling me at work n they said that i have 3 hours to give them a call back or else. I googled the number and it shows nothing in reference to it. Is this really real or are they a scam bc they knew the last of my ss# n DL. I am worried concern bc they know some of my info.

I just got a voicemail from the same number saying I have hot checks and I KNOW I DO NOT. This has to be a scam.

Just got a call from the "Hot Check" people. The guy stated that he wanted to meet with me in person or he will serve me. Process Services do not warn people--they just show up. The caller ID states "private caller. I will not call these idiots back. Can you imagine meeting with some one you don't know and what could possibly happen? Don't speak to them--then you are hooked in. Could possibly be from a check loan company who has a hired gun to collect. If I owe anything, I want to see it in writing.

Don't worry. Just do not speak to them or make any deals. Tell him to send it in writing. Once you speak to them you get hooked in. Don't give out any information. There are attorney services that sue these people.  IF you have ever taken out a loan at a check cashing place they may have gotten your information from them. It could be a scam. I spoke to an attorney about this and they do sue these people. They just settled a multi-million dollar law suite from check cashing people who charge large interest rates. I was in a class action law suit  against them and got over 2 thousand dollars against these people.The call I got today stated "Private Caller" with the same kind of message you received. A process server serves and they do not warn.

these folks called me about a bad check too. i dont do checks either. they have called me twice once last week and once this week. i got the call today. i havent spoke to them at all. i felt it was a scam. how could i go about sueing them. i was just reading this in this last post. these people are scam artists. please tell me what to do. thanks!!
