Tired of Lazy People - Tired of this crapThis group of scammer-scum has called my home number multiple times. Gave some bogus case number, etc, etc. Looking to gather my personal info. Do I look like I rolled off of the turnip truck? [***]! One threatened that I would be jailed for refusing to give them info. They are criminals and I wish I could find out where they are located because I would love to stick my boot in their @ss (es). Next time I pick up, I will simply say...."Come get me then". Two words- Castle Law!

- Call type: Debt collector
- Fed up in HoustonThey keep calling me too on my landline and it's a recording saying they are looking for my brother and use his exact name. I have not followed up or pressed any number to see what it's about. My brother is always in debt wether it's a Payday advance type place or Aaron's rent to own or writing hot checks so I'm always used to getting calls from debt collectors for him. I wish he would stop using my dang number as a reference. I'm going to keep ignoring it and hopefully they will stop calling.

- chancey replies to littlelegsIt's a total scam. Forwarded the message to local PD, Sheriff and Attorney General. Robotic message, they don't even have the right person. Don't even bother to answer all call them back. Anyone legitimate will give name and location. Lived at same address for years, and nothing is pending so I also gave the call to my attorney, I bet when he calls they will hang up on him.
- Sno81They called my dad last week looking for me. My dad thought they were legit so passed number to me. I called them and they told me that I have a case against me from 2010. They had the address I used to stay at and was asking for my current one. I asked for a name of their 'law office' Swartz something and Associates. They guy said his name was 'Reid. He told me it was an online pay day loan. I said anything I don't pay, trust it shows up on the credit report, so who had they received the loan from since it's stated that I received numerous notices. He said I had to pay first to get the information....yea I carried on and probably did more than most, but I was bored lol. They called again today with the same ish.
- Shawna| 1 replyI live in tn and just moved back here in nov from iowa. but they called my cell just now saying that I owed a pay day loan company over $1000. I have never even done a pay day loan. she told me I was being subpoenaed to court and she gave me a Wisconsin address that I used to live at 4 years ago. Said that the payday loan happened over 9 years ago. and that they were an investigative company. She had the last for of my social and my new cell number that I just got a few months ago..I don't owe anyone anything and if I did it would show up on my credit report.
- srg45They called with a robotic message saying they are asking for some one I don't know same phone number and same recorded message saying they are a law enforcement looking for this guy.

- MichaelThese people call me every few weeks or so now. They have been calling and harassing me for 6 years now!!! I have tried everything to make them stop! Now they call all of my family members too. This is really disgusting! They have a new number every time they call. They also change the company's name every few months and dissolve the old company to avoid legal action against them.

- AJ replies to littlelegsThey're a total scam tell them to [***] off and contact your attorney general
- annoyedthey have called my dad and wouldn't leave any information, gave some bogus case #, he would not give them my information. Also, an old friend of mine just told me this number called them and said they were a PI. She didn't release my number either. I will be turning this number into the AG's office because they have no reason to call and harass folks. They are not legit and won't leave any information.

- Another Pissed off Individual| 1 replyIt's all regarding payday loans...
Before you freak out, remember to look at the state laws on filing a case regarding payday loans. The collections companies may say you owe a loan from 8 years ago and that they will take you to court over it....But depending on where you live, the statute is 2-4 years to file a case against you; which they most likely weren't going to do it anyways...especially when it will cost them more to file a case against you then the actual collection amount. Also they have to file in your own state and county if they are attempting to file a court claim against you. It's their scare tactics to get you to throw some cash their way. Bottom line is, they bought the debt from the payday loan agency, so they will try to make some form of profit off of it. If they can't offer you a valid statement of the debt, your signatures, loan agreement, etc. basically anything proving the debt is valid and paperwork on where it originated from, you don't have to give them jack [***]!
Report them if they continue to harass you or let them know you obtained an attorney and they most likely will leave you alone.
If it hasn't shown up on your credit report, I seriously wouldn't worry about it. All valid debts (good and/or bad) are suppose to be reported to the credit bureau, therefore if you don't see it on your credit history it's not a mark against you anyways.
This company is based out of NY and they are having a serious crack down on how debt collector's do their practice. Interesting article...
