I am unlisted, and also on the do not call list.  When I pointed this out to "Brody" (who is at ext. 3443, and asked him, don't you feel badly, breaking the law, calling people at their house and bothering them?  He said, absolutely not, he didn't mind breaking the law.  His manager "Christina" said that she would listen to the phone conversation, since they record all of their phone calls.  Don't they have to tell people whenever a phone call is being recorded? Nothing was said, either in personal conversation, or on the recorded hold message, about them recording the conversation. These people are admitted crooks, and they don't mind breaking the law--call them and waste their time, like they wasted mine!

Got at least 1/2 dozen calls from these a@#holes.
They say they want to speak to person in charge of Electric bill.
I think this is either an altertanive company to AC Electric or a company called Starnet, who must be outsourced by companies to do cold calls for marketing/new customers

I picked up the phone one time that Starnet called.  He wanted to speak to 'whoever pays the utility bill'.  I told him that I wanted him to state the name of the person he was calling, not just 'whoever'.  I also told him to take me off their call list.  I see another call from them today.

this company is under the name starnet inc on my caller id...they keep calling & when i answer there is no one there...when i call them & ask to be put on their do not call list i am ignored...the company's REAL name is discount energy group in florida, business # EFL007...

These people illegally call cell phones and phones on the do not call list, trying to get you to switch the company that supplies your electricity. If they are willing to break the law and not respect you while they are trying to get your business, why should you expect them to have any ethics or to obey the law AFTER they have your business? Avoid doing business with criminals like this and they won't have the money to keep annoying you and others.  Starnet (their phone company) will show in your caller ID but the company is discount energy.

we get 2 - 4 calls a day from this number, no one is on the line when we do answer it.

This number calls my phone number every day.  When i pickup the phone to answer it I get a dial tone.
When I try to call the number back they have me holding on and I get a recorded message saying I am
whatever number  caller and they tell me that someone will be with me in a certain number of seconds.
But no one ever gets on the phone instead again i get a dial tone

they pretend to be an alternate energy supplier and they want to know your k-watt hourly rate, sounding similar to legitimate suppliers like Gateway and others. Next time i get a call...and they will despite my asking them to take me off the list, I  will have Gateway. I am going to ask Gateway to turn these people in
for me. I will let you know how I make out. Time to jail these phonies.

Well, the called today in the AM. When I told her about the complaints on the internet and they should be
in jail, she said we are a company that does business including NJ, and I said she ought to go back and see what people are saying about them. A little thank you but not "I will see to it you are off our list. What a stupid way to "gain" customer base. I told her I use Gateway and I am going to call Gateway to find out what they know about Starnet. I will ask their advice.

I just got the same call. He calls at least once a week at exactly the same time.

They must be prosecuted under the no call program and a class action suit should compensate us for their abuse. Action must be taken by law enforcement ASAP.

This # Calls everyday and then just hangs up.  Is it a stalker?

Phone ran, looked at number,got online and surprise the number is well known. For now I'm just not answering. I usally don't answer phones anyway, they either leave a message or they don't.

They called me, no message, number on Caller ID.  I called them and, like others have said, the guy said that they are an alternative electric energy supply company located in Camden, NJ.  They will arrange things so that I would pay less for my electricity.  I've worked for a utility, PSE&G, and I'm familiar with the buzz words, so it's probably legit.  I just couldn't be bothered.

The calls just started back up again after talking with these idiots and first telling them my number is on the do not call list. I get well this is not a sales call so it does not apply. Then I tell them after they tell me who they are that my electric company has sent out a notification telling us they do not participate with any discount group. I get an argument about what i am paying. Going to call my electric company today and talk to them about it. I have been asked to be taken off their list and as I said the calls started again today.

I have been getting calls from this phone number approximately once every 10 days for the past 4-6 months. The caller either hangs up or tries to talk me into changing electrical power companies. Asking them to stop doesn't work. Call blocking doesn't work, they have other phone numbers. They have crossed the line from "persistent salesperson" to ANNOYING.
