This guy called my best friends ex-husbands home number.  Wanted to know if her son knew me.  I have never heard of these people.  And most of all why in the H--L are they calling my best friends ex-husbands house and how did they get their number???????

Annoying hang up calls

THESE PEOPLE ARE SECONDARY DEBT COLLECTORS. THE DEBT HAS BEEN WRITTEN OFF BY THE COMPANY; THESE PEOPLE COME IN AND IF THEY COLLECT ANYTHING, THEY GET 30% OF THE COLLECTION. TELL THEM TO STICK IT, OR SUE YOU....LOL.. THEY CAN'T SUE. IT WOULD COST THEM MORE THAN THE DEBT THEY'RE TRYING TO COLLECT:):)

yes, same thing calling and calling looking for a person we knew  many moons ago, why us? why dont they listen when you have no forward number for them?

Debt collector calling a wrong phone number which hasn't been owned by the debtor in 10 years. I guess these dummies can't even be bothered with accurate or up-to-date information when trying to collect debts.

They leave messages on my answering machine which doesn't help me any, they're the ones with the wrong number.

Calls 3 - 4 times a week referring to someone I don't even know.  Robo-call so no one to tell on the other end.  On the do not call national list.  Very frustrating.

SRA Associates debt collectors. They call everyday. What a waste of time because I will never pay them anything. Its probably from a debt back 13 years ago from stuff I dont even own anymore. Oh well boo hoo.

Not at my number and not my problem,.and they are the professionals?.Keep calling, and I will conact on of the attorney's listed to file a harrassment suit.

Called for someone that doesn't live here, knew the person back in the 90's and told them they have no legal right to contact me. They removed my number from their calling system. Only the phone number of 856-925-1000 showed up when they called. They did not identify themselves.

Debt collection agency calling for Tamara Daves, informed them I do not know this person, get calls for this person all of the time. Agency said they would remove my number from their list... highly doubt this... they keep calling

My lawyer told me to send the following letter and they will stop harassing you.  It works!

This letter is being sent to you pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g that the validity of the debt you claim I owe is disputed and verification is requested.

I respectfully request that your offices provide me with competent evidence to verify I have any legal obligation to pay you the exact amount you claim.  

Please provide me with the following:

 Provide a breakdown of all monies allegedly owed, and what the money you say I owe is for;
 Explain and show me how you calculated what you say I owe;
 Provide me with copies of any papers that show that I agreed to pay what you say I owe;
 Provide me with copies of any paper that show that you have the right to collect the alleged debt you say I owe;
 Identify the original creditor.

Pursuant to the FDCPA, you must cease all collection activity until the alleged debt is validated.

Guy calls and identifies him self as being form a company I never heard of then tells me he needs to know my birth day, he would not tell me who he was representing.

All he would tell me is that it was a personal financial matter. I asked if he was a vendor or a creditor of mine and still refused to tell me why he wanted my birth day except in order to confirm he had the correct person on the phone.

When I pressed him to tell me what or who it was about he refused any information.

He said he could not discuss it unless I gave him my birthday.  I told him that was his problem and hung up.
