I would like to know who is calling I don't know why I receiving several calls from this person...

He claimed to be from TransWorld Systems, a debt collector.

I have been getting calls from this number at least twice a week for three months. They have never left a message. When I answer there is no one there, and the phone disconnects within seconds.

This number calls several times a day, randomly throughout the day, including Saturdays. Sometimes I'll answer and sometimes I let the answering machine pickup.  They are persistent, but I still have no idea who they are.  I think they are running a scam or identity theft operation.   I had to share this , below is a real conversation between myself and the unknown - BE AWARE!

I answered the call from 857-277-7634 ( 5/26/2016 at 11:32 am) a woman asked me to confirm my identity. She did not identify herself or the reason for her call, just "Can you please confirm your identity".  I asked who she needed to speak with, and she replied "it's a personal business matter, please confirm the SS#" to match the file. I found this response rather odd, since she initiated the call, so I asked her why she needed my SS#.  Her response "to find the correct file" ( she was extremely aggressive and beyond rude at this point). Perhaps she assumed pressure and ignorance would make me fall victim to her scam, so I replied: "You called me, tell me the number you dialed, and I'll tell you, if you have the correct file". The mysterious woman said "it's an automatic dialing system..blah..blah..blah... she could not tell me the number until I confirmed my identity. I asked for her to confirm her identity, name and the company she works for. She hung up.

I've been getting the same calls now constantly and they never leave a message . I picked up for the first time and no one was on the line. If it is Transworld they have a poor way of dealing with debt. Clients.  Can I block their number?

This number calls several times a day. Never leaves a message. Today I answered because I was sick of the calls. A women, with a very thick accident, asked for my Father. He is elderly and unable to communicate. Wanted his social security number, a copy of some other personal records. I told her that I would supply her any information until I knew why she was calling and who she was. She only said she was calling about a personal matter. I asked her if she was a debt collector she said no. I again asked her to identify who was calling since the request for identity information is a red flag. She never did say. I told her not to call again until she could identify who she was, who she was working for and the reason for the call. I am on the do not call list so I reported the number.

This woman with a foreign accent calls asking for a relative by name, who has never lived here.  Wouldn't say who she was and I hung up.  SCAM

Received call. No message. Called back and they gave me this bull***** "the person on extension blah, blah, blah, blah does not have the space in the mail box to leave a message.  Correctamundo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a similar experience. I returned their missed call. I asked 3 times who I was talking to, each time getting the response "Transworld Systems". As I have never heard of that before, it told me nothing at all that I might need to know, such as "you recently purchase an XYZ from us...", "our records show you owe us $100..." or something of that sort. The person on the line then asked me to verify my street address, saying that this was "for privacy purposes".

Nope.

I just got a call from the same number they said nothing lol.mm

repeated calls, no ID, no message

Repeated calls from same number.  No Message.  Would not even respond.  Block it.  If it's important they can send me a letter.
