guy called my landline around 7p.m. He claimed he was from microsoft support. He was very aggresive and demanding. He sounded like one of those [***] or indian call center guys.  Also, sounded like he was on speed or something. Basically he kept demanding I get in front of my computer.  I finally just hanged up.  Pretty sure he was a SCAMMER.

I just got the same call.  I called Microsoft Support a number I got off the internet from Microsofts website.  They told me that they do not call consumers and that they have no way of knowing that something is wrong with computer unless you call them first.

These people are definitely scammers and want to get control of your computer...They are very insistent that you check your computer...They say something is wrong with your computer and they will fix it. They are scammers to get control of people's computer....Do not talk to them...A foreigner and he claimed his name was John Smith

Recieved call, as above individual sounded like a [***] or indian call center guy. Stated that there was a problem with my computer. I said "no thank you. please remove me from yo" at which he disconected the call.
attempted White pages reverse phone look up. came up as "Sorry, we could not find a match."

I received a phone call from either a pakastani or Indian stating that he represented PC Wizard and telling me that as  windows customer he was required to alert me to a virus infecting my computer I kept asking him how he got my number and he said from the window users database. After I finally got him to tell me how much it would cost to remove "the virus" from my computer he said oh sir about 50 dollars. I said that I run scans on my computer religiously, so how did this "virus" enter my computer. He said oh sir from one of the sites you must have gone to. I said I think you're full of crap and I'm having a friend of mine over tomorrow who is an expert IT and this [***] didn't know what to say after that. I also tried to call the number back to inform them that I was filing a complaint with the AG's office in my state but of course the number cannot be reached.

Pakistani or Indian guy called at 2:46pm today. Sounded very demanding, asking for the owner of the phone number. I said Cox Communications is the owner (my provider, lol) and hung up the phone.

I got the same aggressive approach of needing me (actually my husband) to get in front of his computer, as he had downloaded virus.  I knew right away this was a bogus call, and told them to call back tonight when my husband will be home.  Interested to see if they call back.

So I have had this call before. some guy demanding I get in front of my computer because I had some virus. When I told him no and hung up I figured it was the last I would hear from them. For some reason they called again today. Also you cant call the number back. It keeps saying I have dialed too few numbers. Kinda strange isnt it

This guy called me 3 times today...each time saying he was from Online PC Wizard, that it wasn't a fake call, asking me if I used Microsoft Windows and wanting me to get in front of my computer.  I told him no and hung up.

    LOL
They called me and as I used to work for an anti virus company as a researcher and technician I played along for a little while and played dumb while letting him explain how twitter, facebook and all kind of other websites were installing viruses on my computer through a gateway to the internet and were contacting them. So I said oh so it must have call home in it, he said yes, so I said then you must have put these viruses on my computer? LOL So I told him I used to be an av tech and what he said was laughable and he hung up.

Certainly these calls must be illegal because they are soliciting for business based on lying to the potential customer as well as trying to make out that they are Microrosoft.

Just received a call from this number. Indian sounding male. Very broken english. Wanted to help me get rid of my computer virus. I know no one will call without being asked or paying them to do so. This is a scam. So tired of these kind of calls. My cell is unlisted!!! Amazing how they are getting access to unlisted cell numbers.....

This guy has called me twice in the last 30 days claiming to be a Microsoft repair company providing service. The first time I told him I probably learned Mocrosoft products before he was out of short pants and offered to turn him in to the FBI for Phishing. Second time was yesterday and since I am on the do not call list  he was barking up the wrong tree...once I track this guy I intend to have him and whoever he is working with prosecuted since he is obviously phishing. A word of warning, if anyone gives him access to their computer he will steal their identity.
