These ppl say they are the IRS and you are getting sued.

Robo call stating we are being sued and should phone 858-201-8560 at once.

Just happened to me as well.  India woman that I could barely understand threatened me I with a law suit and jail time.  I actually called the 858-201-8560 number and spoke with her.  I told her that she was full of crap and that I wanted to speak to someone that I could actually understand.  I was on hold for several minutes, and I hung up.

Calls early in the morning or late at night. Call says they are with IRS and that action will be taken over failure to pay fines

Robo call. When I called back (for fun, it was a slow day) he asked my name and wouldn't tell me what he called for. Obviously, they are running more than one scam. Too bad.

Automated call. Let the voicemail pick up. Supposedly, I owe the IRS. These scammer people get on my nerves. 8582018560

It was an automated call that said it was the IRS threatening a lawsuit against me. I didn't call back.  The IRS doesnt make threats.

Same as above - robo call allegedly from IRS saying that they are going to sue me.  First off, the IRS never calls and threatens anyone.  Secondly, I am an Enrolled Agent and wish I had been home to answer the call.  Sad if anyone falls for this.

Called received at house number early am and again before noon.....stating the IRS is filing a lawsuit against "you"....poorly recorded/piecemealed message....happened to have an appointment with tax advisor today and she stated it is a scam and they try to get your SSN when you call...the IRS will NEVER call, they mail their threats....later in day I called from my cell just to see what they would say....it rang for 15 minutes....lol....must have been their lunch break in scamville...or bedtime if calling from another country!

This number called at 7am (too early).  It was a recording that the IRS is trying to reach us. Totally a scam.

Same thing here.   Called at 7:00 am   (too early!!)  Didn't answer.....left message.

9:13 am..just received a call. was on the phone, and they left a robo call..checking who it may be...don't think i will waste anymore of my time...thanks to those who respond to this site...

A Verizon wireless #. Same IRS auto response, but I decided to call on my home phone. I got a msg that said "The person you are trying to reach can't accept calls at this time".

We have had repeated automated messages on our home phone with a fake number appearing in caller ID.  The message did not identify the caller or organization but each message said that the IRS was threatening a law suit and to call immediately.  I have not bothered to call.
