The number 858-496-2108 (California number) called. Caller ID reads Gordon S. Left no message. I called back and a recording said it was the ACLU and if I wanted to leave a message they would call me back. They called me. I have never called them before or done business with them. Sounds a little fishy to me. So I dialed *57 and that reports this caller to the police. If it was really the ACLU, why would they not have that listed on the caller ID instead of hiding behind a fake name?
I also Googled the California numbers (there are 3 of them) for the ACLU and they are (213) 977-9500, (415) 621-2488, & (619) 232-2121 So the 858-496-2108 under the Caller Id name of Gordon S looks like it is NOT a ACLU number.

I received several calls from this  number, but have not answered them.  They leave no message.  The name that appears only phone is GSI.  I have no idea what that stands for.

I have receiving calls from this number for about three days.  It says "Gordon".   I used to belong to the ACLU and their telemarketing was so aggressive that I did not renew my membership years ago, but I keep getting their stuff in my mail box.  This could be another telemarketing  effort.

Where exactly, do you go to enter your name to make sure that when you called someone, it was actually your name that showed up on caller ID instead of a previous owner of that number or someone else other than you?  What?  What's that? Nowhere? You don't have access to a place to type in your name and force it to show on caller ID?
THEN WHY DO YOU THINK SOMEONE ELSE WOULD HAVE THAT ABILITY?

I got a call from this number just now and didn't answer and no answer was left. I mostly ignore calls from numbers/callers I don't recognize, so I don't know whether or not this number has called before. The name that displayed on caller ID was "Gordon Schwenkm".

If you've never heard of counterfeit numbers/names showing up on caller ID, then "DoesntMakeDumbAssumptions" is an ironic misnomer. In any case, even if you were right (which you are not), that wouldn't give you the right to insult people who are trying to be helpful.

 It comes up Gordon schwenkm..don't answer. .the man sounds like a tv broadcaster. .but they are serious. .

Caller ID is "GordonSchwen" -- calls everyday.  I do not answer.  They leave no message.
