I continue to receive calls from this number. It's most likely the UCSD Alumni fund calling....from La Jolla, California. I am a UCSD alum so that's why I think it's UCSD

This is one of many similar numbers that the telemarketing call center uses to call me nightly. I believe they are soliciting funds for the University of California at San Diego. They never leave a message.

i just received this call few mins ago, they try to reach my dad......and won't leave messages....

I just got a call from this number and a man asked if my daughter goes to ucsd and asked me about major. I didn't want to talk about my daughter's private information on the phone, so I told him to send me a letter or email. By the way, he confirmed my email address in the beginning. I could not hear him well due to background sound, so I told him to speak up and he hang up. I don't trust anybody who say who they are or what they are on the phone if I don't call him with trusty information.

I think it is UCSD as well.  I'm an alumni an receive calls from this number every month or two.  They never leave a message and it is always a busy tone when I call back.  Won't get a nickel out of me...

These idiots call every Wednesday at the same time: 8:45 PM PST...Too bad I am on the East Coast!

Well apparently they are calling SDSU students and families now?  They called my mom and then started asking a bunch of questions and my mom said "If you can't confirm that you are from SDSU then I'm not going to tell you any personal information."  Then the caller hung up. Be Wary.

I used to work for some scum bags in LA that ran a telemarketing operation for non profits.  They were scum bags because of the way they ran their operations.  

The non profits were legit, but mostly people were annoyed by us calling asking for MORE MONEY.  Sometimes there was a legitimate campaign, but people were donation weary.

I now contact companies and organizations and tell them that I am happy to make a yearly (or monthly in some cases, auto debit) donation, but if they mail me anything, I will call back to ask them to take me off of all lists and stop donating.  Good companies, profit and non, will listen to you and comply.  (Omaha steak, tell them you want one catalog the second week of November so you can order gifts for Christmas, and you will get that ONE mailing)

This is caller is likely an operation that takes a slice of whatever you donate.  They are likely contracting with UCSD, so in that sense, the would be "legit", but annoying none the less.

If you want to donate, do it directly with the University, unless they tell you otherwise.

And the one time you pick up and they are there, ask them to take you off of their list.

They literally called me just now. Wed. 8:44 pm PST!

They called me at 8:26p PST and didn't leave a message. I really need to get off their list.

I picked up once, and they were trying really hard.
Missed it the second and third time.
Now, the forth time.
Trying to pick up to get removed.
Well, I could just block their number...

Called me & put pressure on me to donate & commit to an Amount but refused to send me info. Sounded very sketchy
