collection agency.  I never answer when they call.  I suggest you don't answer it either.  They can't go forward with their headtrips if you don't participate.

i got a call from 858-536-8007.  she said she was audrey stanford.  she said she was trying to reach my neighbor but couldn't get through to them.  she asked if i would mind putting a note on their door to call her back at 858-577-3652.  i called the number back and the gentleman answered as d & c services.  my buddy called them back and she said she was from g.c. limited partnership.  she claims not to be a collection agency.

When I called back she immediately responded with G.C. Associates or Service. I think they are a collections company to but I hung up n put myself on the do not call list to see if it would help at all. 888-382-1222

I also labeled it under a Dont Answer Id and didnt give it a ringer/alert tone.

I have been getting calls from this number on my home phone and cell phone. Why are they calling on my cell phone? Today I got a rude message saying "I leave several messages and you never call back!" That was the first message and they have been calling for 4 days now. They said mine and my husbands name in the message. We do not have the same creditors so why would it be a message for both of us. Plus when I called back a lady answered the phone like a residential phone. I hung up.

Same as y'all, I just got a phone call asking if I was who I am (correctly identifying me more or less per my phonebook listing), and giving me the names of across-the-street neighbors.  Claimed to be a "friend" trying to get in touch, no answers to phone calls, would I please leave them a note.  I said, you have the address, are you using the mail?  They said yes, but never got a response.  I said, "If the letters aren't being returned to you, they're presumably getting them and choosing not to answer; no point my putting a note in their box."  Caller hung up.  I did a *69 to trace the call, and look at what they turn out to be!

They called my place of business asking for someone who has never worked here before and when i said there was no one here by that name, he hung up didnt say a word to me. So, i called back and told them it was crazy they call and dont respond and that there is no one here by that name and they put me on the do not call list. Hopefully thats the end of it.

Got a call from a very rude woman on this number asking for someone I've never heard of. She refused to believe that they didn't live at my house and she gave me my name and address which was a little creepy. She hung up so I called back and complained...the lady I spoke to was very nice and told me she would remove my number from their list....though she wouldn't tell me what kind of company it was.

I have received several calls from this # asking to speak with my father-in-law, not sure how they got my cell #. I dont have any contact with my in laws. Makes no sense why they are calling me at my cell #...

I received a call this morning by a woman who didn't identify herself but wanted to know if I knew a neighbor of mine, who she refereed to by name. When I said I didn't know them she hesitated for a moment and asked if I was sure, I said of course I'm sure and asked who I was speaking with, at that she simply hung up.
I probably would have just dismissed the call without a second though but then I remembered my wife telling me she got a strange call about a week ago from someone who called her by name; said she was a friend of this same neighbor and wanted my wife to leave a note on their front door. When my wife question the woman she was simply said she was just an old friend and abruptly hung up. I don't know why they called us and have no idea how they got my number, but it sounds a little creepy. My guess is it's probably a collection agency trying to make contact with this neighbor, but it would seem to me their methods are a bit dubious, if not outright illegal.

I'm really glad I found this forum. Yes, I had similar experience from this "not so bright" lady name Audrey from this number. I was really amazed how rude she really was. I meant, I know the guy that they were looking for and I might be able help. But, she treated me as I was the bad guy.

I am really sorry for her not being able to think straight. She should be kissing our "@$$" to get to help her finding the people she was looking. Be as polite as she could be. Well, I dont blame her. If she was smart, she might not be doing this job harrasing people.

Lastly, I feel sorry for her employer (GC Service). Her attitude is a straight reflection on the company she represents. I guess they're not as bright as well. Why would they employ somebody that rude to be in their team. She's costing her company money. If I were the company that looks for a collection agency. I wouldnt give my business to them knowing how poor their performance is.

I received the first call from these people two days ago but didn't pick up the phone as I didn't recognize the name or number on caller ID, then got another call this morning.  They never left a message.

I keep receiving a call on my home phone from Operations Department at 858-578-1455. This is apparently a San Diego, CA #. I generally always check who's calling on caller id. If I don't recognize the caller or # I don't return the call. I probably have a half-dozen of this particular call. My theory is if it's important they'll leave me a message. So far no msg. and hopefully there won't be one anytime soon. I have my #'s on the DO NOT CALL LIST and suggest everyone else to do the same to avoid these scammers and identy theives. Also, you can report or turn-in these telemarketers//harassers once you have been placed on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

Got a call from someone who identified herself as Donnie. She explained she was trying to reach one of my neighbors but could get through. She further explained she was tending to a "personal matter" for this neighbor. Wanted to know if we would leave a note on the door.

What a novel concept .. collectors getting other people to do their work for them. Didn't sound like the gig paid that much so we didn't go leave the note.

I hope that some day this sort of thing will be illegal and that the perpetrators will be given a standard sentence involving 3 months of cleaning Yak stalls in Western Tibet. In the mean time, hopefully someone will figure out a way to sue/litigate these people out of existence. I'm sure the yaks would appreciate that.

Looking for the brother in law whom is no longer is contact with us.
I think also they (or someone else) has been calling the mother in law
looking for him too. Since we have the same last name it makes since
they would try this number.

These clowns called twice wanting me to put a note on my neighbor's door.  I told them I wouldn't do it and hung up.

The more I thought about it, the madder I got.  I called the number back and the woman (who claims she's only the switchboard operator) I talked to said I should not have given them my number.

I'm furious!  I never gave them my number, I don't owe any money to ANYONE and still I get a collection call - for a neighbor!  Isn't this illegal??

Yes the same happened to me, to place a note on the door.  This has to be illegal, because what if something happened while you put the note on the door.  What if the guy is some criminal that thinks your threatening him and he shoots you. Does anyone have a number for the collection agency?  I tried the caller id number and no one answers.

Same type of thing, they called but didn't leave a message.  A lady named "Donnie" answered after I called back.  I asked why they were calling me after they acted like I actually called them to talk about something specific.  She said she didn't call but was trying to figure out who had called me.  I asked what they did and she said they were a "client services business".  I asked what that meant and she said that it just depends.  I asked what her employer pays her to do and she said she was just the receptionist.  She asked for my mother and asked me to verify her address and cell phone number.  She said it was regarding an "application" and to tell my mom to call and she would know what it was about.  This place sounds like a freak show and I feel dirty after talking to them.

today I got a call from this number and I did not answer, couple of minutes later one of my neighbors knocked on my door with a note that "cindy" told him to deliver. call Cindy @ 858-577-3607. Probably a collection Agency or so.

I've received calls from someone at this number, she keeps asking for the person who had my cellphone number 7 years ago. She sounds like someone just looking for a relative but who knows...
