Community Outreach to sell advertising space.  Just want to meet with the business owner.  They don't want your money.  Really?

Got a call from them wanting to set up an appointment. I said what the hell, and set it for a coffee shop instead of my home or place of business. They called the day before to remind me, and I wasn't going to be able to make it, so I told them I won't be going, and that I don't have time for that right now. Then, they kept having other people call me, and one guy even left me a message saying I was referred to him by a friend to have some work done, but luckily for me, I still had his number from when he had called 3 days prior, so I knew he was full of BS. This whole operation is strange. I asked several times what they were trying to sell or wanted from me, and they wouldn't tell me anything over the phone. Now I'm getting messages from them saying that I need to reschedule my appointment to meet at my home only, and that this matter is very urgent... What the hell could be so urgent for me meeting with them? Are they giving me free money? Did I win a Lamborghini? I don't see any urgency in me giving them money for something I don't need, so I guess I am missing something here. They are very persistent, and always jumble their messages up. Put everything together that I have heard from them on the phone, and their insistence to meet at my home and nowhere else, makes them very shady to me. I mean, the least they could do is identify WHICH Community Outreach Program they are, right?

I just recieved a call from this number as well stating they were with the community outreach program and that they needed to contact the manager. the caller id says yellow pages on it, but i think its a scam. I was like can i get an email address? they said no only phone calls. The guy's name was stan and he kept repeating that he is the scheduling manager, im the scheduling manager. Freakin annoying!

Sole Prop Business Owner here. Missed a call from 858-566-4897 from a guy named "Pete". He left his name and to call him at 858-566-4705. Both numbers led to an answering directory for some Community Outreach thing. After seeing the comments here, I added the entire 858-566-4*** range to my phone's "BANNED" list. Byebye.

Same as the rest - they will not tell me who they are but only that they want to meet with me. Crazy!

How do you go about getting a number banned from calling you? What happens when they dial your. number after you had them banned?

They are a direct to door marketing company

in other words . .DON'T answer this phone number - they are cockroaches
