no answer and when i call back it say its an unalocated number

Calls from this number happen 4 times a day. When you answer, the line hangs up. I'm getting really tired of this BS. I get the same message, when I call the number... unallocated number.

Caller Id reads Freedom but no one says anything when I answer.

I get 3-4 calls per day from this number. I set the number to my contacts (cell phone) as "unknown". I then set "unknown" to "no ring". The phone does not ring when "unknown" calls, I do get an alert that I missed a call but it better than picking up the phone when it rings.

I am getting these calls very often and they hang up as i answer!

Getting calls from this number 5 times a day.
Pick up and there is no answer. The only information I found is:
Location: San Diego, California.
Carrier: Mpower Communications Corp. - Ca.
Type of phone: Land line.
Company: Unlisted. No name for bussines/company.

i just started getting calls from this number about a week ago; same thing as everyone else...I DON'T GET WHY THEY ARE CALLING and how to get them to stop...how annoying!

Had a call from this number, I called back, recording said "Metro News".
It appears it is a newspaper from San Diego California.

I too received a call from them yesterday afternoon.  No answer.  I said hello about 10 times, then the line went dead.  After reading this, I called the number back - received "Metro News is not available, please leave a message.."  I am in Fort Worth, TX.

Ii have received two calls from this number within 2 hours and I have no idea who they are or what they want, I missed the incoming call and tried to call back and got an answer of Metro News and nothing else.  I' tired of this as they are calling on my cell phone.  What can be done to stop this crap..

It must be a Fort Worth thing, because I  just received a call from the same number and I am also from Fort Worth

I have been receiving calls from this number past 2 days, usually I do not pick up the phone, I answer to my wife only :), today I decided to pick up to this number...

It was from my ISP (Cox Communication), they wanted to ask me to upgrade my bundle.

The number is calling in VA now. Same as everyone else, a hang up when you pick up, San Diego Land Line...

Just got the same as Ann, I'm on a Virginia number (703 area code) and got the call & hang-up treatment. I didn't answer the first few times, so I guess they're checking to see if it's still a valid number?

this is a 3rd part selling company trying to get me to sign up for cox. told them to not call and they still do

Fun game to play: They remain silent until you say something before hanging up. So could we, in theory, bankrupt them by not saying anything? :D

Two calls, left a voicemail (I have not bothered to listen to it). I am in VA but my area code is out of state. I have Cox so maybe that is what it is.
