- Caller: name unknown
- acReceived two calls from this number in two days. Both only left messages saying "hello, may I speak to -----". The first one was a female with a distinctive Australian accent.
According to google voice, both calls originated in Linda Vista, CA.
Curious these calls started after moving my telephone form Verizon to Time Warner (forwarded temporarily to google voice) - may not be related, just thought I throw that bit in. - kgot a callsaid he was from "windows" had too much info on me wanted to get into my computer

- Caller: PcWizard
- timber replies to DoriI got the same call. They said my computer would crash if I didn't get the errors fixed, but they would take care of the problems. They wanted to get into my computer remotely, but I didn't let them.
Since when would someone with Windows or Microsoft call when you haven't reported a problem... - Brenda| 1 replyI was given this number as a support number for www.logmein123.com and did this a month ago did pay for 3 year service and now can not get a hold of them. Since then nothing but, malware and detected viruses /.... what to do now?
- Caller: windows/microsoft
- Joe replies to BrendaTake your PC to a professional and have them remove any malware/spyware/viruses and disable remote access ability on your PC. If you don't know google "how to disable remote access on windows "X" (your operating system).
- James| 1 replyGotten two calls that I've accepted from this number although it shows on my phone as just 301 I was able to get the second technician I spoke to to give me the real number 858-939-1002. First time they asked for my ex-wife but they are glad to talk to anyone with a windows based operating system.
Total SCAM they claim your PC is reporting errors to them. They ask you to open event viewer and then claim any errors or warnings in there are from malicious internet infections proving you need their help. I tried to explain to them the error was for a bad block on my harddrive but he assured me no it was an internet infection it could block my whole drive and crash my computer. Also requested I not click on any of the logged events stating it would put me at risk but really they just don't want you to see what the alert was for.
Don't beleive these jokers hardsell. Your PC is not reporting anything to them. At best they want to sell you a contract and install their crap on your machine, at worst that crap may compromise your security. Once you let them access your box, they can do whatever they like, they could add keyloggers, password/id hyjackers, tracking software, etc etc...just say no.
BTW they use the name PC Wizards at least for the time being.- Call type: Telemarketer
- NormThis bunch is working over time! PC Wizards. PC Cons! Remember to warn any one thats not to understanding to this kind of rip off.
- Caller: PC Wizard (windows 7 crew)
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Jadednms replies to JamesIf your number is on the DO NOT CALL list I highly suggest you make a report, like I just did.Same thing, same number.Company was called logmein123.com .Because they are trying to SELL you something, means they fall under the TELEMARKETER category.Scam or not.Enough complaints and this company will be heavily fined and will be no more.Remember telemarketers MUST purchase the no-call list and NOT to call anyone who is on it,or they WILL be fined. One just got fined 100k for this no-no.Matters not what state you live in.It's federal. If we all do our part,we can shut these scumbags down for good!
- JohnYa i got a call today also and they called talking about Windows and stuff like that talking about hacking
- MonaI received a call from this number. Each representative had a strong accent and they were persistant in trying to get information concerning my computers. They said the company is PC Wizard, I doubt it. The rep could not give me information on how they received my information or answer any other questions, he placed me on hold several times to figure out how to respond. He did say his name was Roy Anderson which I am certain was a lie. BE AWARE of any calls where information is sought from you and you can't check the caller and company out.
- Caller: PC Wizard (?)
- Call type: Telemarketer
- DJSame story here.

- KarenI receive today the same call from India speaking guy. From the last three or four entrys here, it was the same guys. They wanted me to speak the manager and his name was Ron Wilson. I had already been on the phone to long and had to get back to my job. He didn't want to let me go. He finally gave this phone number to call him back 858-939-1002. I had to go out for a little bit this afternoon, I went to Office Max and ask someone in there about something like that kinda of phone call. He said I did the right thing by not letting them know my password. Know I feel even better after reading these post.
