citicard calling for a shell payment even though my account is notated i can't pay until end of month, are relentless with the questions

I agree.  Citigroup will hound you to death on Shell accounts and you have no idea who is calling if you don't answer the phone.  If you call back they don't indicate who is calling.

Absolutely.  I had made a payment by phone, and even after that I received 61 calls in 3 days.  Caller ID says only Florence, KY

THIS IS A PHISHING SCAM LOOKING FOR YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBERS AND PASSWORD.

These people claim to be Citicards Collections and leave an 800 number to call back.   When I call that number, no answer.  But when I called back the number from my caller ID, I spoke to a woman who claimed to be with Citicards collections, handling accounts for Home Depot, Macys, Shell, etc.  First thing she asked for was my account number.  I said I had no accounts with any of those stores she then she asked for the phone number that they called me at.  I gave them the number, then immediately they asked for my Citibank account password so that they can view my account.  I REFUSED.  They told me that unless I give them an account number and password, then they can't view my account to help me...that's odd.  If they're the company and are from collections, then they have access to the account.  THEY DIDN'T.  I realized it's a scam.

To ensure I don't fall for a phishing scam, I called all my credit card companies to ensure the calls I received were legitimate (I gave them all the phone numbers that showed up on my caller ID).  IT'S NOT.  It's a phishing company looking for your account number and password.  All my accounts are up to date and I wondered why I've been getting harassing calls.

I ensured there wasn't any activity other then last transactions I made and then I asked them to transfer me to the Security department.   I changed the password on my account so that the woman I spoke to from the phishing scam doesn't give out unauthorized access to my account.

I keep getting calls from this number also about my credit card however, this is a business and we don't have any. I NEVER answer this call as it always says "kentucky" and we have no clients there. This is annoying that they can keep calling.

These calls are from Citi Card and they ask for your account number and phone number to verify if you are the person who oversees the account, the actually authorized user of the account.

They call me today from (858) 283-8074. Which is for a Staples account that I currently have 7 days late. The message say they are calling from Citi Card Services, regarding your Private Label Account, which Citi card, collects for various companies, maybe some one on here has the lsit of companies they collect for.

Getting repeated calls from this number

this number called early saturday morning i did not answer the call because i did not recognize the number. the first time i called it back it with no other questions asked for my account number so i just kept hitting zero it said i was going to speak with someone but went directly to a dead dial tone. so i called back and went through the same process as before. but this time some girl picked up and was looking for my wife i had already looked at this website and told the lady that i was calling the police. she assured me that this was citi bank and wanted to take me off the calling list with my name and info, i angain told her that iwas still calling the police, and she was trying to stall me by telling me she was going to take me off the list and not to cause any trouble. why would a bank be worried about local police?

They just called me asking for my mobil account which of course I dont have. The woman asked for my account number,, I REFUSED and she said that she couldnt help me

Received the call like the rest of you.  Have a shell account with a sizable credit on it, which not surprisingly, shell/citigroup has not reimbursed after being requested in writing weeks ago.  What can local police do about these harassing calls?

I also keep getting calls but I don't have a Citi card.

We received one of these calls today regarding a mobil credit card late payment. we were not late with a payment but had a very small balance on the card. the dude asked for a phone payment which of course my wife refused. After she hung up, she turned to me and said 'I think that might have been a scam" after searching the number and finding this site, i see that it was.

If it is a scam I am surprised a caller ID number displayed, and if it is a number for them I am surprised no one can prosecute. The complaints n this site go back two years.

Daily numerous calls.  No ID of who is calling.  No voicemail.

I am sick of getting these calls at 7 am on saturda and every other day of the week

Keep asking for someone who doesn't live here, won't say who they are.  Call all hours of the morning - harassing and useless.  If it's
Citicards then they need more capable people; unless they identify themselves I just hang up on them.

Called and didn't leave any information as to who he was or what he wanted. -- Asked for someone who no longer works here.

I made payment arrangements with Citi they are still calling me, can't the FCC do something with these jerks, and relentless
