I have 2 numbers, and they called both tonight to tell me they knew my computer had viruses. Wanted me to get on the computer and follow their instructions. Caller was heavily accented (Indian or Pakistani) and the line had lots of background noise and echo.

Got a call tonight from a lady with Indian accent. She told me my window has issues and told me to sit in front of the computer. I told her I see a door but no window. She hung up on me. How rude. I needed her help!

Got a call on 3/1/16 from a very similar number (859) 355-5010.  A man with an Indian accent who said my computer with Windows has a problem.  I said I was not aware of this problem.  I asked him who he was with, and he stated "Microsoft Technical Department".  I then asked him where he was located (my cell phone caller ID said the call was coming from Kentucky). He stated this time that he was with "Microsoft Technical Headquarters".  I was like "Yes, but where are physically located?"  He said London, UK.

"Oh really?", I said.  "What version of Windows am I using?"

"You have Windows on your computer."

"Yes, but what version am I using?  What problem do I have?"

"Windows is your computer's operating system."

"I know, but what version am I using?  How do you know what my problem is if you don't which version?  What's my name?"

This morning at 1:34 a.m., I got a call from this number.  Must be 7:34 a.m. in London.  Brutal.

Heavily accented man wanted my computer ID number to help resolve problems with my system.  I have no problems with my computer.  Definitely was a scam.  He was very adamant and I finally had to hang up on him.

Can anyone do anything about these people calling CONSTANTLY about a computer virus?  They called twice tonight,, I finally said please give my YOUR number and I will call you back when Im able..................Im fed up with it.....cant anyone do anything????

Got a call from 859-354-8184 (apparently a Nicholasville Kentucky number) from a strong accented Indian sounding male who said we had virus problems with Windows. When asked repeatedly for what his company name was he just said 'Windows'. He threatened to shut down my computer if I did not comply with his instructions. Extremely aggressive - he called back four times when I hung up on him. Obviously some kind of scam artist.

Got a call, but no voice mail left. Thanks to others for reports.  I will block the number.

(Good thing I read the directions below... I had some "colorful" words for this caller) Same "Pakistani" rang me once early March 7... I expressed my "disappointment" for calling before 8am... I recognized it was a prank call - very unprofessional, just telling me "lies" about my computer and commanding me to go to it. I told him he was a fraud and to stop preying on innocent people, as I knew better.(Tried calling back and his number was not in service - there was my confirmation) And just today, he had the tenacity to call again - from same number! I played along and expressed SO MUCH ENTHUSIASM AND EXCITEMENT and gratefulness that he was calling! When I built him up with my positive energy, I told him I had to call him back and needed his name and number, and he asked me why I should give him my name and number when he didn't ask me for mine? WHA????? Then I told him I knew that he was a scam, and a loser (he replied that I was a loser) LOL! I told him to stop preying on innocent people "colorful word" and hung up on him.

I have gotten several calls from this number at different times of the day and night.
No message was left. When I answered there was no one on the line.
When I call the number back, it says "not a working number".

He ssid to go on computer if not will shut it down. There"s a problem with my window. Being old . I see hiw people scam older people. Your phone and privacy is not protectef
