Caller ID showed Kentucky call; looked up on the internet and it showed as Federal Supply Co. but when I called it back, it was Portfolio Recovery. Company that buys past debts no matter how old and try to get you to pay way beyond the statue of limitations.

This number just called our house .
Caller ID said call was from Burlington Kentucky and when I asked for a message they just said to call back the number on the caller ID and ask for Robyn.  We dont know anyone from there so I decided to google it.

Caller ID showed Kentucky call...left no message.  Don't kown anyone in Kentucky.  DNC list doesn't do anything...getting numerous calls since we entered our number on the so called "NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY".  What a joke they are

I agree with another post, since I entered my number in the Do Not Call list, I get dozens all day every day.  This number is just one of the many.  I never answer I am old but not stupid.  Who needs a landline?

Caller ID showed no specific name and I never answer "anonymous" numbers. A Google search confirmed that it's yet another number belonging to pond-scum-sucking Portfolio Recovery.   These lowlifes have HUNDREDS, if not THOUSANDS, of different numbers, from different area codes. Luckily I have an app that will let me block even more. What a waste.

Got a call from this number today, do NOT know anyone in Kentucky. I registered my phone number with www.donotcall.gov and am getting calls from all OVER now! Yes, I agree with you, they are a bad joke.

Anybody use this link?  It says it will help Portfolio Recovery remove your number if they call the wrong person.  Just curious if anyone has had any luck with it, or does it just give them more reason to call?

These people are aliens seeking a land grant. They never give up. Someone posted they have 47 different numbers they call from. Must be a slow month. They have called our home daily. Funny, if they were really legit...they would leave a message, but do not.  It is a phishing expedition, looking for a warm body to answer the phone.

If you do not recognize the number, do not answer it. Thank goodness for call blocking. I find it my goal in life to never answer the phone unless I recognize the person, or number...We have the same last name which is not common and these people refuse to believe the person is NOT related to us and that they could reach this guy at the State Pen...read his name in the newspaper. can well all just ignore them??

Just had a call wanting to collect taxes from 1995.  We don't owe this debt.  So they called from the Burlington, Ky number.  No message - just harassing.  If/when I get some physical location on these so & so's, I wouldn't mind making their lives a little more interesting.  Posters here are right, DNC list is a big joke.

If this is Portfolio Recovery they are driving me crazy with in appropriate calls.

Portfolio Recovery... been calling us every day usually multiple times per day, for over 8 years.these guys are like ever ready batteries ...they keep going and going.  We never answer our phone if we don't know the caller. you would think that they would learn...but they're obviously dumb as rocks. They are the worst of the worst.

Just file a complaint to help F.T.C., investigate and prosecute this unscrupulous
(scum of the earth) collectors, as harassment by repeated telephone calls is

Portfolio Recovery is a POS SLIMY UNETHICAL COMPANY that goes after debts LONG PAST their statute of limitations.  They even go after debts that have a 0 balance??

I received a phone call from this number at 6pm this evening. They use many different names when they call trying to appear like a friendly phone call for those who screen their calls. They were calling for a family member who does not use our number and does not live with us. They were beligerant and swore. I threatened if they called here again like that I would sue them. The number traced back to Kentucky. They are a core recovery that purchases old debts and charges their fee on top of it to the person they are trying to collect debts from. Debts can be anything from college loans, personal loans, electric, medical or several other types of loans.

Thank you for posting your remark about Portfolio Recovery, especially in lieu of them trying to collect old debts.
