They are running a scam on crags list

This is a scam from a Craiglist post. He goes by the name James keen, and is always looking for people to run errands because  he's always out if town which is bull. He sent me a check of 1875 but I'm not going to deposit it.

What happens if you try to cash it

he uses this phone number as well as the numbers (514) 416 8614 // (509) 878 7615

I actually fell for this little scam of his. He managed to get 200$ out of me by sending me a bad check from a company called Encam, and subsequently asking me to do a money transfer. The check bounced a few days later of course, leaving me a 200$ charge to make up.

Believe it or not he was dumb enough to keep texting me through out the whole ordeal. He went as far as he could until I demanded to see his credentials: which he never provided of course. I then turned every bit of info i had over to police, from the numbers he calls from to the company he was pretending to represent.

So to answer your question directly; you get screwed if you try to cash it.
In the event you do hear from him, tell him Evan says '[***] off'. Then hang up.

Received that same $1875 bad check and saved myself. Thank you all. I'm not going to deposit the check. :)
