fake solicitation for computer services

A guy with a thick Indian accent claiming to be from a company he identifies as Geek Support. The call is an obvious attempt to hack your computer using deception and manipulation.

He'll say that Windows contacted them saying your computer was downloading malware (which does not happen. EVER. period. EVER), and then he tries to get you to open your command prompt to get your IP address, and get you to disable your firewall. Presumably what would follow would be getting you to download a file, or allow remote access, and then he would have full access. I never got to that point because said that I couldn't understand what he wanted me to type because of his accent, which pissed him off and made me laugh. I tried to waste as much of this weak-[***] hacker's time as I could. I hope he calls back, I had fun with this one.

Oh that dead beat again. I new tha # was bogus 777-1234, and answered to chew ot hwom ever might answer. Nobody there.
IUsally this guy starts with "Are you running Windows". Just respond with "No, I use Linux and FireFox.

Not only the thick accent, but you have to get past the bad VoIP to even recongnise the accent

Good for you ***** stars for you .... I wish I had more time with my call but was in the middle of paying bills.... Dont you just wish you could shoot a beam and destroy their phone system .......

just a call from this 860-777-1234 (Ct), dude intruduced himself as john smith with indian accent and he started talking about malware and windows,  so i told him im not home and can you call me tomorrow he said he will and i trully have fun tomorrow!  note: i have 2 ipads and my desk stop is still in the box bought it this weeekend :)
