This number has called my house phone (I live in Northern California) several times (once a day) around 2:00-3:00pm every time, but they never leave a message. I'm at work when they call, so I'm never here to answer the phone and I won't call the number back. Who is this, what do they want, and how do you make them stop?

This number calls me everyday around noon. I'm at work, so I cannot answer. When I call back,  a recording picks up that says 'The person you are trying to reach is not available, please leave a message after the beep'. Then the phone beeps abruptly. The lady has a foreign accent, but it is a recording. It's very odd. I don't know why they're calling me.

Its a group called Career Advisor or something of the sort.  If you were looking for jobs online then thats how they got you.  Tell them you are uninterested in their business and to quit calling.
