I got behind on a credit card, and they hired Scott Lowery to collect, I set up payment to pay back the money, i was told if my pay date should change to call them and they would work with me...guess what, i called, and the guy from Lowery office got real nasty with me., not like i was trying to get out of paying, already paid 4 payments, the guy was a real jerk about it..kelp saying i was going to miss a payment..told him NOOO, just need to move it. these people are real ass's..I will be glad when this is all over . Thank god I recorded are phone call..think I will give it to my lawyer. maybe he can stop them from being so nasty.. there are dead beats that dont pay there bills, but when you are trying to pay, these so called collection people, are still nasty... jerks.

I think the guy is a pervert. I called them back and he said something really vulgar to me. They are really twisted individuals at that so called law firm.

I got a call and  someone called me a B*tch and then they come on saying to call their phone number.  This didn`t just happen once, it has happened twice.  Has this happened to anyone else?   They don`t say anything anything else....kinda sounds odd....but I saved both messages.

Yeah, its against the law for them to say those things so I highly doubt they did. Maybe you should pay your bills and then you wouldnt have debt collectors calling you. Wow. Easy huh.

For about a year, I got many calls from BOA asking for the former owner of my phone number (I've got this number for over 2 years).  I told them I'm not the one they were calling for and requested them to take this number off their database.  But they kept calling one or twice a week.  Then about 2 months ago, they stopped.

And now I got many calls from this number (866-202-0021).  Talked to a man named Walter Wagner last week.  On Monday, a woman called.  I requested her to send me a letter.  She said she sent one to an address in Encinitas, CA and that's not mine.  I do not live in Encinitas.  She asked for my address.  I was not so stupid to give it to her, of course.  I told her I owed nobody no money so stop calling my number but yesterday they called again.

I'm really upset.

Today, I filed a complaint with the FTC.

Representatives from the "P Scott Lowery Law Firm" have been calling non-stop for four months now.

1) We are a Corporation, 2) they are trying to locate an individual, 3) the man they are trying to find does not now nor has he ever worked for us, 4) they were advised no less than 4 times that they had the wrong number, 5) we were advised 3 times that they would remove our number, 6) even IF this man were an employee, under no circumstances would it be acceptable for them to harass his employer, 7) callers represent themselves as attorneys - not debt collectors, 8) when asked to speak to one of their alleged attorneys - they hang up.

When we have finished ferreting out aliases & locations, we will be filing a flurry of complaints, transcripts & seeking restitution. We currently have 13 filings in two states. When you file your complaints, make sure to cc everyone these con artists are accountable to, governing agencies & consumer reporting agencies. ex: the US BBB, US COC; CO & Denver BBBs & COCs, as well as the AG, SOS, Dept of Business & Industry etc in CO & your State, FDIC, FCC, FTC etc as appropriate - don't forget the State Bar. And don't forget to verify that they are licensed & registered as needed in YOUR state to act as a Debt Collector & that they are following YOUR state laws. Some states have whistle blower rewards for reporting businesses operating illegally there.

Good luck & don't trust them for a heartbeat. Even IF they were a legitimate Law Firm or Debt Collection Agency - their techniques are illegal & unacceptable.

Got a call from Kevin Jones from this firm. I returned the call and was informed it was about a $2,000 - $3,000 owned to GE Money Bank. I advised Mr. Jones that there was not way we could pay the debt, that we both lost our jobs in the mortgage industry and the contstruction industry and that we had just pawned anything we could find just to pay the light bill. Advised him they could file a judgment or whatever they needed to do, but they'd have to stand in in behind the $24,000 debt to IRS and the deficiency balance on our short sale. Then he hung up on me!!! I called back and spoke with his supervisor stating that was no way to conduct business and that I did make the effort to call back and explain the situation and that people going through the crisis' a majority of people are going through today did not deserve to be treated that way. What jerks!!!

Moved to a new area and got myself a new cell phone.  Well, new in tems of equipment, but I guess I got someone else's old phone number as I keep getting calls and voice mails from this company for someone I have no idea about.  Will have to request a number change from Verizon.

My ex-husband first received a call 12/04/12 from a "Mr. Austin" with a Denver law firm, about a former entity I was affiliated with. Mr. Austin asked him for a Linda Carter who had stolen my information, using my home address as her business address, as well as my corporate name, something I reported 12/05/12 to the Colorado Secretary of State's office.

I received a 12/10/12, 11:09 a.m. MT, call from "Mr. Austin," who wouldn't state his business, only that he was with a Denver law firm. I informed him that several have reported him and his number to 800notes and others.
