Don't know who the call is from.

Probably 10th call in 2 weeks from "FMA Alliance".

Said something along the lines of, "If you listen to the next thing I say, it indicates your agreement that you are the responsible adult in your household and are accepting full responsibility for any and all debts incurred...Hello...you've accepted responsibility...etc., etc."

Then I hung up.

I don't know who they are or what they want.

Second time I have had a call from the number - haven't answered it because I didn't recognise it - and just looked it up here. The call came in at 8:30 on a Sunday evening - yikes. So, in light of what all you have posted it is SO NOT happening that I am answering this.

I got the call too. I have an old renter that moved to Texas.

ask my name [no] what this call about old debts I hung up, I don't have a old debt.

They call my neighbor n harass her.

Called and left a message to call back between certain times and that it was to collect a debt. I don't have a debt.

I too received a call from this number.....12:00 noon 11/10/2010......
I did not recognize the number....so didn't answer...they left no message....
( so it must not have been too important....huh ??? !!! )

They call everyday and don't say anything, I wish they would stop calling. They even calls on holidays, when they should be enjoying their self and stop annoying people.

somebody called and left a message on my son's phone who is in the military away from home asking for me.  Left his name jarrod.  I told him to delete message, telephone number and don't answer if he gets another call.  I have no idea who this is, how they got my son's number, or what they want.

They called my dad asking for me, something about a debt, i don't owe money, it should be illegal to call family members or any one.

Get calls from this number all the time. am keeping a record and going to report them.

This is FMA Alliance. They are based out of Houston Texas but licensed to do business in most of (if not all) 50 states.

I had been getting at least 3 different calls daily from multiple numbers all belonging to FMA. I kept telling them that I did not know the person they were looking for and that they had a wrong number. The representatives had all said they would remove the number. 

Today, 1-18-13, I received a call from them. When I asked "who was calling", the lady gave me her name. So I rephrased my question, "What is the name of your company".  She refused to give it to me and hung up on me. (FYI: that is highly illegal according to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and also the Federal Communications Commission). So I called them back and demanded their physical address so I could mail them a letter to "Cease and Desist". They immediately put me through to supervisor. I informed the supervisor of their illegal practices (the supervisor was also surprised by their representative refusing to give the company name), and that if they continued to call, "I would file complaints with the FCC, the Texas Secretary of State, and get my attorney involved. I'm willing to bet money that they will not be calling back.

People, if you want the calls to stop, use the key phrases that I used above:"What is the name of your company?", "I demand your address so I can send a letter to Cease and Desist!", "if the calls continue, I will file a complaint with the Secretary of State and get my attorney involved."If you really want to change their demeanor, call them right back and say "This is [your name] and this call IS being recorded for legal purposes". And then say the rest of the things above. You will be AMAZED at how effective these phrases are!
