I made a charitable contribution to the company that provides this number on their brochure.  They called me for a pledge and I mailed in 5 dollars over the amount that I had pledged.  About a month after I mailed them my check I received a notice from them saying they had not received my donation.  I found the original brochure they had sent me with their pledge form with this phone number on it and when I called the number their mail box was full. The check has cleared my bank.

American Homeless Veterans is actually “Circle of Friends for American Veterans”. I was able to connect this via their Federal Tax Exempt tax number “54-1847890”….

They are listed on most state government sites as “Circle of Friends for American Veterans dba American Homeless Veterans”… Notice the acronym “dba”… The “dba” stands for “doing business as”, need I say more? This is why it’s hard finding good information on this outfit.

If you decide to donate, only 15% of your hard-earned money with actually be going to the Veterans!!! So, looking at one dollar, only 15 cents goes to the Veterans and 85 cents goes to the company!!! What a rip-off!
Well, now you know… Check with your state government website on “Charitable campaigns in your state”.  Find out how they have it listed on their site.

Who they are is just another slimy fundraiser preying on the elderly and uninformed! http://www.bbb.org/evansville/business-review ... urgh-in-9000601 they are also listed under 50 worst charities and fundraisers.
