Urgent Message From Bank of America. It's fraud.

Regarding this 866-231-4406  and 866-512-7171 scam from the person saying that they are Bank of America. This is a scam. They are trying to get all of your account information and personal details for ID theft. I phoned Bank of America. This needs to be reported by everyone to abuse@bankofamerica.com This is a total scam. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION TO THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE TRYING TO GET YOUR BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS TO STEAL MONEY.

this person called the house and left a file number when you call back they cant find and give you a different bumber 866 512 7171 the person there has the same problem cant find any infromation and wants your account number which I refused to give them.

Yep, here we go again. This is nothing more than a fraudulent call with the sole intent of getting you to give out personal information. Do not call them back, ignore the number.

Urgetn message from BoA - requested to call back regarding bank fees at 866-231-4406 with message code 857752.

I was instantly suspicious when i got a call from 1-866-512-7171. first of all, it was a machine voice that put me on hold saying that BoA was calling. There was unprofessional techno music. Finally after a few minutes a women was on the line saying that she needed my mailing address. NO!

These are crooks phishing for your acct number.  Do not enter them.  Don't even enter the codes requested.  Some of these type of crooks charge your phone when you enter the codes.  Non marketing emergency call from your bank?  Good one.

866-231-4406  and 866-512-7171 are fake numbers belonging to crooks.  Just ignore them.  Don't call them back to enter any codes.  They may program it to charge your phone for hundreds of dollars.

They called our business number and I didn't answer.
An automated voice left message for a person I don't even know and said she need to call Bank of America @ 1-866-231-4406 and enter ext. 644438 for an "urgent message".

I just got an automated message to call BofA for an urgent non-marketing message at 1-866-231-4406.  Yeah right.  If it was so urgent, I wouldn't need to call another number!

They called asking me to return an unrgant message from Bank of America. I did not give them any info. and called the Bank directly to inquire about the message. The said they had not attempted to contact me and the call was someone fishing around for my personal information. Don't give out any passwords or personal information.

Was called from 86-512-7171 number and decided to google it when I noticed other complaints!! Glad I did before I called them back :)

i did the same thing that Lacey did! when i got the call, i thought it was suspicious so i googled the 886-231-4406 number and found so many people saying it was fraud! to confirm i called Bank of America, they keep records of when they attempt to contact you, and the woman i spoke with confirmed they hadn't!!

Got called 3 times in the past week.  They're scum-sucking pigs, as are the rest of the people on this thread claiming that the number is legit:  THEY ARE IN ON THE SCAM!

Got a call from freaking scammers too # 18665127171. She said her name is Andrea Fernandez, and was pretty convincing that she is a BoA representative that does not have an agent number. Beware, don't give them any info.

Its Bofa. Call the number on the back of your ATM card. They can confirm that that 8665127171 is a valid bofa number...or if not eventually your account will close because you are probably Overdrawn. I wish i would have believed them because now im in collections.

Basically if your getting a call from either number its just to let you know your account is overdrawn and pretty sure you know that. If your not the person the they system or person is asking for just let them know they will remove it. If your not sure about the number and automatically thinks if fraudulent just call customer service give them the number they will be able to verify the its valid. YOUR ACCOUNT IS OVERDRAWN THEY ARE TRYING TO SAVE YOU FROM GOING TO COLLECTIONS YOU WILL REGRET IT, IT SAVED ME.

This just happened to me today! How terrible there are people on this website trying to say this is legitimate...get a real job and stop trying to steal money. Shame on you. It is totally scam, 866-231-4406.
