its a debt collector for a different company if you get somone else to call that number back and give their name and your number they shouldnt call u
again

so... these guys keep calling em demanding payment on a debt from 9 years ago (statute of limitations only allows 6 years) ... AND i paid that debt 7 years ago, it was a cleaning fee for an old apartment...

VERY VERY shady, trying to collect a debt that's already been paid AND doing it well out of the legally allowed time frame

This company is bothering an elderly disable woman for debts that are not hers. They are her daughter's hubbie. They start calling at 8 am and dont stop until 9:30

It is illegal for a debt collector to call after 9PM.  Report them.

These people call at all hours in reference to my ex-wife's debts. What do I have to do with her debts.

This company violates more FTC laws known to man. They outsource their collection calls to foreign countries where they can pay their employees less than the minimum wage here in the states. They make GC Services an outlaw collection agency that started in the seventies look like the Vatican. Transworld Systems is the Enron of collection agencies.

They call every day, at all times of the day.  I never answer my cell when I see Private or Unknown.
I called back, once, to see who it was.  A guy named James answered.  Since I don't know anyone by that name, I just hung up.  (My number is blocked so it doesn't show up on their Caller ID.)
I found out it was Trans World Systems by Googling the number.

Any debts I had were 20 yrs. ago.  My credit is now in good standing.
I'm not sure how they got my cell number, because it's a Private number.

I really don't want to have to change my cell number.  Since I can't make them stop calling, I just don't answer

Best way to stop *any* harassing phone call... Get a Google Voice phone number.  Connect it to your cell phone number (or whichever phone number you are receiving these illegal calls on).  When they call back, you have reference to it in Google Voice.  Select the number and choose "block number".  This will not block the call, but when it goes to voice mail, the caller receives a standard "no longer in service" message, and they will then remove your number from their list.  Worked for me the first time.
